Won't complain being up 6 on the road at half
Guster is for Lovers

GB Warrior

I will take that half. Lid on the basket for part of it, but it wasn't for lack of looks. If the defense holds, they're in good shape.

Last shot was.......not executed well

Really solid half overall though. Lets get some shots to fall and take it

That was Osos chance to show us his stroke from 3!

Maybe Oso should have stayed on the bench for the last possession.

He should've gone right back to Cam.

Elonsmusk

Ed Cooley looks stressed AF..his head on a swivel reacting to what Shaka is doing/subbing.  I think we wear Providence down in the second half.  Keep rotating the guys in and out.

Our defense is incredible.  Demoralizing to the opposition.  I'd estimate 7-9 of Providence's 23 points are second chance points.

That was bizarre.  Oh....well.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

DM with 5 steals and TK 0 assists.

Daniel

Need a solid second half offensively and defensively.  Lewis, Elliott and Morsell will explode second half with points!   Let's Go Marquette!

DoctorV

0 free throws and 0 offensive rebounds at the half.

Isn't that 2 of the 4 "important factors"?

MuggsyB

I know I'm biased but Marquette looks like a much better team.  In fact, MU may be the most talented and best team in the BEast.

Hard for TK to get assists when hes the leading scorer!!!
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

I'm hoping Elliott finds his stroke in the 2nd half and JLew continues to attack the paint.

Marquette just looks more "comfortable" out there, and that's versus a lot of the best BE teams in the last month.

I keep waiting for them to get rattled at some point, and they did v SH in the 2H but only briefly. Hopefully it's not in the 2H today

Also, you deserve a lot of credit for identifying early that the press should be used more sparingly because it was leading to easy baskets- Shaka was trying it and spotted it also, and now we see very few breakout easy baskets.
We also see a lot less "hurried" brutal rushed shots, although we saw some today.

Overall much more organized, calm and in control.

Now let's drain some shots!

Unfortunately, defensive rebounding is part of defense. It's been our Achilles' heel. 22-15 on boards.
The TO's and steals are keeping us up (how much overlap is there on those 2 stats?).

Gotta figure JL is going to pick it up, and we usually shoot 3's better than we've shown so far.

Let's put these jerks away.

MUEng92

Did anyone happen to see the highlight just now from the Duke-Louisville game of Theo on the bench while a Duke player shot a 3.  With the shot still in the air he turned to face the crowd with 3 fingers in the air.  Granted it was all Duke fans behind their bench but that's some confidence in your teammate

Yeah I never expected our interior defense to cause problems for the opposition to the point it has the last several games, really hope it's sustainable.

We have missed a number of clean looks.  But you're exactly right about the rebounding.  Also, you can't expect then to throw it away 10 times in the 2nd half.  Anyway, we are do to hit some shots.

It's so blatantly obvious Fox is going on the cheap with these halftime reports.  There is no breakdown of the actual game being aired on the network followed by a non descriptive "We'll send it back to your game" from Rob Stone.  How odd are these pre-recorded halftime shows?

Halftime headline I didn't expect to see "Kolek with 2/3 of MU's made 3's"
