Booooooooooo. Was hoping to add the 2 to 3 foot of snow game to the long list of crazy matchups with Providence.

Makes sense though.

This reminds me of when MU was trapped in NYC for and the MSG game was still cancelled and then moved out to Carnesecca. Glad MU went back to MKE this time.

If the snow is coming Friday night and stopping in the afternoon on Saturday, what time will MU get to Providence? If they get there Saturday night, that’s a quick turnaround for an early tip Sunday.

The logistics of MU getting there for Sunday seems dubious. If the bad weather is on Saturday, then they're likely heading out on Friday. Unless the hotel has a gym, it may be a lost day.

My guess is the team still is going tomorrow as the snow isn't supposed to really start until Friday evening.  The move is more to allow fans, refs, staff, etc. to get to the arena.  Would've been nice to keep the game on Saturday for MU, as attendance would be low.

That at least makes some sense. I'd like to hear an explanation from those involved in the decision because, on the surface, it seems a little weird to me.

We'd have whupped them Saturday, and we'll still whup 'em Sunday!

You think it's weird that they are moving a game that is slated to be played during a snowstorm that they are measuring in feet?

I think it's a little odd that it's being moved by less than 24 hours, when those feet of snow still will be wreaking havoc on the area. But as I said, I don't know all the details/reasoning.

Believe me, I want to have a game to watch, so I'm glad it's being played as long as everybody gets there safely.

Believe I saw somewhere visiting teams stay at a hotel connected to the Dunk.

It seems odd that this hasn't been confirmed one way or another yet.

Probably has to do with traffic. Having people traveling to and from 12 hours after the storm is radically different than doing the same in the middle of it.

I heard it was because the ice under the court isn’t faulty enough yet and condensation hasn’t formed on the court so they are giving it another day. Also the zoo is having a hard time committing to driving a bat over during the snow storm.

Traffic is not a good enough reason. I'm sorry but Providence has already canceled what like 3 games? because of Covid at a certain point it's like the Big East is just catering to their every need. Plus I'm still upset about the ice rink game. Play in an empty gym and deal with the lot life throws at you.
