A lot of the coverage today is Marquette won on a controversial call at the end so I want to pose the question, was it a foul?

My opinion is yes.  Not just because the ref called it but Bryce was jumping out not straight up. Though Elliott initiated the contact, Bryce hadn't established position at the time of contact and that's a foul. Unfortunately for him, his face took the impact on Elliot's elbow which is no different than if it was his hand.

It would have been more controversial if they didn't call it or called it an offensive foul.

Are you kidding me? A new thread for this? Just go visit all 9 pages in the post game thread. It's been well documented already

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Wait, there was a foul at the end of the game? Who knew?

Hopefully adjacent to the new football field.

It was a medieval style foul at best

The OP is correct. Aiken moved about 3 feet into Greg. Greg moved about 6.75 inches forward on his shot attempt. The way MU was reffed on jump shooters all day, it was an obvious whistle.

Dont worry. Fluffy will have at least 10 posts more establishing that it was not a foul. Cue the picture of the guy flogging the dead horse.

Plus a count of how many times he has acknowledged the non-call hand grab foul (but only cause he got called out for not acknowledging it originally and is trying to save face - at least whatever is left)

Here is where I first acknowledged the arm grab:

Yep. No foul on the shot though.

Here is where you "called me out" for not acknowledging it.  Over 45 minutes after I actually did.

Quote from: Balrogs on January 15, 2022, 01:50:56 PM
But you constantly ignore the grab on the arm prior to the shot.  That's where you have a problem in integrity.  You just roll over that to lamblast others on the final call.

So someone here needs to save face...but it ain't me.

(And it wasn't a foul.)

I think with another 30-40 posts, you guys might be able to reach a consensus on this.

I actually was done.  Planted my victory flag and moved on in glory long ago.  I just think its funny that "Ballrogs" thinks he called me out for not acknowledging something I did actually acknowledge....repeatedly.

Gotta be kind of embarrassing for him actually.  Hope he can "save face - at least what is left of it."
