As long as they get out here at a reasonable time, that seems unlikely. They'll still be able to go through full walk-throughs and practice. Had we told them the 1:30 time was going as planned and they didn't land in Milwaukee until 10:30 am, I'd agree, but pushing it back seems to allow them full prep & process.

Flights seem to be on time now on the Denver to ord route, despite 30mph winds. I assume they likely won't have issues getting in from here on out.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Flying on game day isn't great though.

There just might be a whole new level of pre-gaming going on today.

Agree. I hope they're a but rusty given the layoff from playing and the delays now.

More importantly though, I hope our guys are ready to come out swinging and there's a loud arena tonight, despite the circumstances.

Why are they flying into ORD?

They aren't, but it was a route I knew had a few flights in the air already and used it to see if all the issues last night still were delaying flights to the area.

Although does look like some snow expected in mke, so who the hell knows.

Thank you for the update.  At least the game is still on and that everyone is safe.

Feel for those who can't make it now, but at least the game is still on.

Covid has conditioned us to be more flexible when it comes to sporting events, so this isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

NCMUFan

I could be wrong, but wasn't it a couple of years ago, the game at Creighton had its time changed due to extreme cold.
I think we won that game.

The Sultan

Yeah I mean in the grand scheme of things it's minor.  Sucks for the people like Lefty who had their plans altered.  But it's no one's fault.

Given what has happened across the Midwest and mid-south over night, a college basketball game is a pretty small thing

Anyone that can't make it, I'm looking for 4 tickets now. (I know the wrong spot to post this but whatever let's get those tickets used so the place is packed).

Let me know if anyone is selling 4

I second that take, Rico.

Think of this the next time Gonzaga to the Big East comes up.  Then think about flying to and from Spokane in snowstorm season.

Since there's no football why couldn't the game be on Fox??

Reality check.

Fox isn't going to bump scheduled prime time programming for a relatively insignificant regular season college basketball game that has only minor regional interest.

WCC teams and PAC 12 teams fly in and out of Spokane 40 times a year in snowstorm season.

FS2 is still a national network.  ;)
Yes. It was a reference to an old poster who only posted when we lost on National TV

Hope this doesn't screw up our childcare plans. Guess we're lucky the Bucks aren't also playing tomorrow.

I'm a little confused and at my age that is normal, but just to be clear the game is now Saturday night at 8:30/9:30 CT/ET on FS2, not tomorrow (Sunday).

Correct.  It was announced late Friday which is why you might see "tomorrow" some places.

Exactly. Thank you

Hope we can get lots of fans there still.

Honestly, mostly hoping this is still a big draw for students first and foremost--they've been huge when it comes to energy.

Got a buddy that works at DEN, took this shot of UCLA's plane.

Don't teams usually leave early so this doesn't happen and players can get settled in?  Leaving the night before an afternoon game seems like an awful idea.
