Morsell had a poor floor game overall. Kolek missed shots but played very well otherwise. Open your eyes.

The issue with TK is that he now lost all confidence in his shooting.  He is no longer a threat because he's passing on taking shots that he normally would. Defense can relax with him.., basically 4 on 5 until he regains the confidence.  Needs to see the ball go in the cylinder early vs UCLA.

Kolek isn't even close, and that's likely mental.

Instead of keep shooting he re-groups and keeps shooting in the practice gym, then is more selective and head fakes to get an open shooter in the real game.

Kolek doing exactly what he's doing right now and shooting 35% from 3 is our 2nd or 3rd best player.

The guys seem to trust him and obviously so does Shaka. Let's chill. We won the game.

5, Tower's benched tonight, don't feel bad. Glad someone stepped up.

Looks like SS is coning down the rotations. Saw a lot of Kam, Morsell, Justin (of course). VERY little of EE, Joplin, Mitchell.

Not enough KK. Might be related to conditioning and how many minutes he can do.

At F, it seems to be a battle of OMax vs. Oso. The less I see of the former and the more I see of the latter, the happier I am.

It was nice to see Greg have a good night. He really turned things around during his rather brief stint. I noted that he was out there at the end when the good FT shooters should take the floor.
Didn't think it was particularly good coaching when Kam ((66% FTs) wound up with the ball and got fouled. There were better options. Tonight we got away with it (thank you, Oso) but there will be nights that similar mistakes will cost us.

Of course, happy with the result. I thought it was the Dec. game we could least afford to lose.

Like (almost) everyone else, if you'd told me we'd be 8-2 at this point, I would have jumped at it.

I agree with this analysis.  Morsell 3-13 shooting, 2 rebounds, 2 assists.  4 Turnovers and assorted bad decisions throughout the game.

Kolek's shot will eventually fall.  No doubt he's pressing and its in his head at this point. 

If someone said Kolek and Morsell would be a combined 3 of 20 shooting/ 2 of 16 on threes would MU win on the road at KSU?  The answer would be a resounding no.

Gritty game.  Fun game.  Well officiated. Our team has nice upside.

Not to be negative or that this matters in the least when it comes to MU's resume, but MU caught a break in this game and the Illinois game where both teams were missing arguably their best player. It's not MU's problem though, but a little bit lucky on that front.

Long way away from making the tourney, there going to lose some of thes games when there up 7, unless they learn to run more plays as at the end they were standing around to much.

Kam Jones was wide open every possession down the stretch. It just took kolek to find him. Greg and Justin should have found him earlier.

Our record is probably better than it should be, but I am not displeased with that fact.
