As if this game weren't frustrating and aggravating enough on its own merits (or lack therof) we are subjected to the high-pitched, staccato ravings of a bad Dickie V wannabe, Pete (The [Failed] Coach)
Gillen.

Man, if 9 NCAA appearances, building Xavier, smoking us on the way to the Elite Eight in 1997, and a .639 winning percentage is falling, what’s your definition of success?

I like Gillen.

He’s awful to listen to IMO. Always has been. Couldn’t imagine having that man as a coach.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I say a lot of announcers are the worst. But Gillen really is the worst.

Please, please tell us you’re kidding.

Only slightly. They share that Brooklyn accent, Al was certainly willing to use cliches to hype up plays and players. But, Al had real stories, and could make sense much longer than Gillen's 5 seconds.

And, I liked Al as a color guy. Gillen, not too much.

Theo would be suspended for 2 games.  Anyone else, just a common foul

Why are Kuath, Greg and Morsell nailed to the bench? Discipline reasons?

Performance reasons.

Greg might be our worst player on defense

Performance reasons.

Agree to disagree. Last game to let the kids learn before the gauntlet of the next 3.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Another poor box out.  We have to clean this up, basic fundamentals.

JLew has vastly improved his three point shooting, but a moving three in transition may not be the highest percentage shot.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

We love to play a fast pace but shooting threes which for the most part we’re missing with 25 seconds left in clock is crazy.   Take it to the rim.   Not drawing many fouls.

That was nice.  Two pure triples from Joplin.  He may need more mins.

Ellis reminds of some random dude in a pick-up game at the Rec Center.
