They weren’t going undefeated. Playing against an experienced team in what is basically a road game. All of us would’ve taken 5-1 to this point with a win over Illinois.

This. I don't see a lack of energy. I see inexperience manifesting itself as a total lack of awareness on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.
