Refreshing to have a coach again.

You almost forget what it's like after such a long time.

This team is unreal. Shaka is amazing. Wojo who??  Marquette basketball is fun again!

I was equally excited as Goose about the Shaka hire...but props for projecting immediate success...I never thought we'd start of this well.  Amazing work thus far.

The good news, everyone is excited about Shaka and Marquette basketball. I'm looking forward and the future looks bright to me.

Had Woj remained at MU, his record at this point would likely be 2-3.

Attendance would be averaging 5 alums, 2 students, and a lost bat.

MU should have chit-canned his sorry ass years ago. Actually, his hire was a colossal mistake, aina?

You know 4ever, I don't blame them for taking the risk on Wojo.  He had a lot of the things that align with the values of the university and we were not in a position to get a great experienced coach with the stink from the prior admin, no AD, new pres, etc.

I do fault them for that first extension.  There really was no need to do it and it was pretty clear that Wojo wasn't going to be blowing the doors off coaching basketball.

Exactly.  Hindsight is 20/20, but at the time it was a reasonable hire.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.
