Give it up already… the admin ain’t paying that buyout so you might as well get comfortable until 2025 at least. Then after that we’re looking at  bare minimum a 2-3 year PAINFUL rebuild. Frankly - we may not see the NIT until 2040.

You ain’t lying.  Many of us (me included) were rationalizing a slow rebuild and/or not realistic on how displeased some of our large donors were.   The right move was made and we are ALL happier for it.

This team is talented.  And we are going to be a tournament team based on what we’re seeing.  Good for Shaka and good for MU!

5.   A pattern.    Sluggish first half.   Curb stomp second half.    Red Bull IV's at halftime?

Only one explanation.

I'm not sure we could ever say the sum was greater than the whole of its parts with the last guy.  Already feels like that's the case so far this season.

I love how we are playing right now. As you said there is no fear on that court and Shaka has already created a winning culture. My favorite play of the night was Kur's block to Darryl's dunk in transition. If we still had Wojo we would've lost the minute we got down 10+, but that is the magic of Shaka and the 'never give up mindset' he has instilled in them.

Osa's drive was indicative of the leash that Coach Smart gives these guys.    He decided to do a spin move and drive from 20 feet late in a close game against a high major.    And nobody flinched.   Amazing how all of these young guys are playing completely without fear.

I'm liking 3 or 4 years of Kolek and Kam.

I’m going to be so nervous if this MU team ever has a 15 pt lead in the 1st half

The rest of the Big East are gonna despise Kolek for the next three seasons aren’t they?

“He’s still there…?”

Kur got better at not fouling while at Oklahoma while putting up better block numbers than Theo.  I like Theo but Kur is a clear upgrade

And he can dunk in traffic.  Theo would get stuffed by the rim in traffic.

Kam Jones was big in the 2nd half. No hesitation at all on his 3s. Some DJO vibes with that sweet lefty stroke.

I’m starting to like the Steve Nash comparisons.  I’m kidding of course….I think

That's more annoyed by than despised.  It's not like he is Brad Davison.

That's just jealousy.  They think they should have a monopoly on the talented pasty white basketball players.
