[Cracked Sidewalks] West Virginia Preview
« on: October 26, 2021, 08:09:35 AM »
If Marquette can soft shoe their way past Ole Miss, they will most likely find themselves with a familiar tango partner in West Virginia. With both teams planning to use some pressure defense, the game would play out like a salsa. If Marquette somehow managed to take down the Mountaineers, it would be a big feather in the cap as they try to cha cha slide their way into March. So waltz on in to the Cracked Sidewalks preview of Huggy Bear's team:

Channelled a nice Wes Welker press conference demeanor here. And I am here for it.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Buzz dancing on that logo was awesome.  Great memory.  Loved him being interviewed on TV after the game with WVA fans spewing hatred behind him.

Shooter

I try and watch the dance and interview on YouTube a couple times of a year. That game reflected the Buzz era perfectly to me and I loved it.

Bump

Great work on these

Westy Westvirginiason was solid 😂

Seems like Taz Sherman is their go to scorer this year.

They play pretty small it seems- a 6’10 2nd year guy and a 6’7 2nd year guy along with 3 guards to start.
Wonder if MUs size might actually be a huge benefit in this one, especially Kurs/Osos presence.

Or maybe I’ll jinx them and they blow tonight’s game?

So...what are the odds we see this dance on the broadcast tonight? It feels like they'll play up both the old Big East rivalry (and this was its peak between us) and the Shaka/Huggins games from the Big 12.

I'll be honest...when I wrote this preview, I didn't expect to bump it. I'm really glad that I get to, however. Let's go get this and make a date for Sunday's Final.

If they show it, somebody will minimize it by saying it was 10 years and two coaches ago.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.
