If a state is going to have extreme travel restrictions for tourists, they should provide testing. Asking private citizens to provide documentation will only lead to many situations like this.

Calling Zar a criminal is laughable. What he did was dishonest, not criminal. Literally, yes. Figuratively no.
By the way it is a felony on most states
Goal is National Championship
CBP profile my people who landed here over 100 yrs before Mayflower. Most I've had to deal with are ignorant & low IQ.
Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

So is going going 58 in a 55.

No it's not.

A state making rules and then simply trusting the people to do the right thing is laughable.

So there should be no rules???

Your defense of this is getting less and less logical with each post.

Sounds like they enforced their rules.

Right. Which is why I'm not understanding panda's issue here. He's upset that Lazar got in trouble because...he broke the rules?

Who knew I'd wake up one day and learn Lazar Hayward is labeled a criminal but here we are.

Dr. Blackheart

I guess Zar's submitted test was a specter of a real one.

Sorry, my mistake Darren Rovell.

I would anticipate the 'it is a stupid rule' argument or the 'any COVID rule is dumb' argument.

It is never fun when someone I rooted for at MU does something against the rules.  A sad day.   But here we are.

In Lazar's defense, he's not a criminal yet.

He is labeled one because he committed a crime. If he didn't want to be labeled one, he shouldn't have committed a crime. Why is this so hard?

In the eyes of the covid cops, he's already locked up.

On the sliding scale of criminal activity, this ranks somewhere around printing a counterfeit $1 bill on your home printer.

Ultimately, this will probably end up being a misdemeanor and a fine.

You and I will disagree on that, but I'm still not exactly sure what your point is.

When you travel outside the US and return you need a test and you pay for it. The Feds don't. Private citizens are required to pay for and provide the result.

Even so, tests should be in a sanctioned environment. It will be rife with fraud if you just let travelers show up with whatever documents they come up with.

Of course, the larger point is that vaccines are free.   None of this had to happen.

FBI has said that misrepresenting the official seal of a U.S. agency, like the CDC logo on vaccine cards, is a violation of federal law. Violators could face up to five years in prison or a $5,000 fine.

On a sliding scale of stupidity and selfishness...faking a test that takes no time to complete...and showing disrespect to Hawaii's citizens...seems pretty high up there.  But hell, we've only lost 1 in 500 Americans from COVID...

To fake a test is to intentionally put other people at risk.
so you are saying Lazar intended to endanger others? I doubt that. More likely, Lazar understands that the COVID vaccine does not prevent infection, and does not prevent transmission. The vaccine reduces symptoms, as pharma has stated. It would appear Lazar is not vaccinated, reasons personal to him, and used poor judgement with falsified paperwork. But, intent?
