Good guy doing the wrong thing.

Arrested is excessive no?

Just make them get back on a plane and go home.

"Police later arrested the two and charged them for unsworn falsification after the documents were flagged, per Hawaii News Now. The two were released from custody and taken back to the airport, where they were put on a flight back to Los Angeles."

Subject line was accurate, he was not held. But instead taken to the airport to return to LA.  I'm sure there will be a fine of some sort at a later date.

I can't seem to find anywhere, but is he still playing?

Unfortunately, it is sort of a big deal to falsify medical records.

But I agree, that jail seems a tad unnecessary.

Hawaii has weird COVID standards.  My wife's co-worker told her that his daughter was heading to Hawaii in June for some student volunteer work trip.  She got a COVID test like from the local Yale hospital.  Hawaii wouldn't let her in because the test "wasn't from CVS or nationally recognized pharmacy.".  So the dad had to buy a round trip ticket to LAX, just so she could get a COVID test, then fly back to Hawaii.  This was after flying from NYC to Hawaii in the first place.

I heard a similar story from someone else in 2020.

When I saw the topic of this thread, it hit me like a bolt of lightning. Big Fan of Lazar.

Hopefully, this will be a wake up call to him .

Stupid to not be vaccinated. More stupid to fake medical records. Disappointing.

Falsification of medical documents that could be tied to HHS. Down here two people tried it at two different concert events were arrested awaiting trial and face up to 3 years.
Goal is National Championship
CBP profile my people who landed here over 100 yrs before Mayflower. Most I've had to deal with are ignorant & low IQ.
Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

To fake a test is to intentionally put other people at risk.

Yep, I loved Lazar as a player but I'm glad he was caught and sent packing.

If a state is going to have extreme travel restrictions for tourists, they should provide testing. Asking private citizens to provide documentation will only lead to many situations like this.

Calling Zar a criminal is laughable. What he did was dishonest, not criminal. Literally, yes. Figuratively no.

So a state should provide a test for every person that enters instead of providing people with a portal to upload their own test or proof of vaccination?  And they should do that because it could lead to "many situations like this?"  "Situations" of course meaning that people lie and cheat the system.

Do you realize the cost and time this would take?  Talk about laughable.

It is literally a violation of the state's criminal code.

A state making rules and then simply trusting the people to do the right thing is laughable.

LOL you just don't understand what living on an island entails. I mean if you want to go to Europe you need to bring a test or be vaccinated. Why should local governments have to pay for tourists. We closed two of the international airports during lockdown.
