WIN ANYWAY
LOSE YOURSELF IN THE FIGHT
RESPOND

(that's what I got from it)

But also
CLOSEOUTS
PAINT
VIOLENCE
MULTIPLE EFFORTS

I'm also still really worried about D
Win Anyway, sounds like we'll be cheating.

It's "WIN ANYWAY", not "WIN ANY WAY"

But your English is 100X better than my Spanish, Newsie, so I will cut you some slack.  ;D
Have some patience, FFS.

I have a feeling Ellis is going to be quite a bit of fun to watch.

The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

craptastic season, from vanilla coach, expected to be another really rough year, and probably a lot of people still somewhat skittish about crowds.

Feel sorry for the freshmen and even the sophomores who haven't experienced it yet.

Well, a better reason is when you tell 4 years ago to the general public, sorry you can longer come it's for students only, the general public will not magical come back to Madness.

The junior and senior students only know Marquette Madness for having a concert at the end. No concert tonight.

Last, why is Marquette Madness on Oct 1. For homecoming week. Let's move it next year. This event use to happen in the middle of the month.

It became students only?

Yeah great point about the concert! Nobody's showing up after only seeing it at its peak

Agreed about Oct 1 it's too early for most people to give a damn yet.

Yep. About four years ago. Madness for students. Open practice for the general public on Saturday morning.

Without football, Marquette Madness is really the only opportunity to show enthusiasm from the fan base to the recruits. This turnout could have an adverse effect. Ouch. Tough sell to counter the great atmosphere at a football game with the "basketball is everything at MU" argument with that crowd. Going to take some time to rebuild enthusiasm and momentum after the lean Wojo years.

I would guess that the crowd for Homecoming was disappointing as well.

If the marketing goals were to pump up the new coach, sell packs and singles, energize the student body, and sell recruits, this was a Fail.

Otherwise, I am reminded of Bob Fukiet. I am left to wonder what MU was thinking?
