Jayce Johnson was a center.  Luke Fischer was a center.

Correct.  My bad.

I feel a Dr Suess rhyme is imminent

What would you do
About losing Aidoo
Would you act like guru
Or get a new hairdoo
Would you practice Kung Fu
Or get a tattoo
Wolud you buy new gymshoes
Or would you drink some home brew

MUScoop covers all, from haikus to Seuss rhymes.

Imagine wanting to play for Wojo but not Shaka.

Shaka isn't ready to bid adieu to Aidoo:

Tipton Edits @TiptonEdits
2021 four-star Jonas Aidoo has heard from the following schools since decommitting from Marquette yesterday: Ohio State, Maryland, Georgia, North Carolina, Wake Forest.

Tipton Edits @TiptonEdits
Newly hired HC Shaka Smart has also reached out to Aidoo.

Having an increasingly hard time watching many here discuss the pursuit (*** kissing) of 17 yr olds who we really have NO idea how they'll pan out in college.... They are simply names and numbers on stat sheets with absolutely NO insight into whether they'll be able to adapt to a different style play than their high school teams, play against better competition than at their current level and adjust to NOT being the BMOC here or anywhere else...
Just confounds me..... There IS an endless pool of them coming in every year, too.
Think the Henry/Joey pursuits were worthless to us and wasted valuable time and space.... Just sayin'.

To be fair Henry was over promised and poorly coached. Joey had an attitude problem. They both were far above what you expect of freshmen.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Lots of "get off my lawn" energy emanating from this post.
We all care enough about Marquette basketball to spend time on a message board: recruiting for said team is the backbone of the message board.

I don't see any ass-kissing.  I see people invested in the team knowing a recruit who's soared up recruiting rankings with interest from blue blood schools, who committed to us once, could (operative word) be great if he came here to play for our new coach that has a great track record with big men.

Hopefully he gives Shaka a shot to make his case and considers re-committing.

I love all of the recruiting info and the process of recruiting. Over the past couple of years I barely did any research on the topic and excited to pay closer attention again.

Agree with some of that but there is no doubt that Aidoo is a legit big-time recruit.  Just look at the schools interested in him.  He's pretty much the key to the recruiting class.

Henry had game. He kicked REDs ace in Madison. Hard to argue as he was a 1st rd pick.  But, but he needed another year. Was something goin' on behind the scenes? No love fest with Woj? Maybe could have used better advice? Now...eating crap sandwiches in whereverville. Hopefully has a good accountant. Joey, er, Joey Turnover? You've been over-recruited. Enjoy pinetime next season w/Izzo.

Henry is 24 years old and has already made $6M in his career.

Nope. IIRC, the following year projected to be a much stronger draft class that the one in which Henry went pro. He made the calculation that another year in college was not going to increase his draft position and therefore his money.

Lewis is a 6'7 PF at best, Dawson is a stretch 4 as well.  We don't have a center, and we haven't in years.

Lewis is easily 6'81/2".

Not to mention, Henry had a 10 day contract already this year. I'm sure he developed more on the bench his rookie year than at MU.

He played there, but I'm not sure he was ever really a 5.

He wasn't a forward.
