Can we keep one, two, or all three of our top returning players?

Can we keep Aidoo and the other incoming  Freshmen?

What about the Tex recruits?

What does Skaka being to the table from a impact transfer standpoint??

*Personally, I feel SS is the best possible option for solidifying this roster short-term.

Pakuni

Mentioned in another thread, Shaka's first task after meeting with the current team ought to be hopping a flight to Charlotte to see Jonas Aidoo.

Galway Eagle

Priorities:

Dawson: likely gone given U of MN's new coach

DJ: Who knows

Lewis: possible given Shaka's connections to that area

Aidoo: was a long shot he was going to live up to the commitment

Mitchell: potentially sticks with it

Osa: who knows
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Kam Jones is as good as gone. Would be shocked if he stayed because he was a big Wojo guy.

Think Lewis stays in this scenario.

We agree here.  He should be on a flight there within a few hours imo

Kam Jones or Stevie Mitchell? Or both?

FWIW, Kam retweeted Emily La Chapell two days ago when she announced her commitment to the women's team. So it seems he remains interested in what's happening at MU.

Lol, this keeps getting repeated.  Do you have any reason to believe this other than some gopher fans insinuating on their fan message board that a former MN top recruit is entering the portal?  That was like 5 days ago.  Dawson may very well leave, but to say he is "likely gone", especially to MN just seems silly.  I am sure he is considering options, but hiring Shaka cannot hurt our chances of keeping Dawson/DJ/Lewis together.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

I still expect major turnover but we'll see who comes and who goes.  I expect next year's roster to be very different than the one Wojo would have had.

Oh...whoops.  Mitchell seems to have excellent potential.

shaka is very close with the phenom u directors

Goose

We will have better players on the court come the opening tip next season. The big three have not left yet and I believe they knew Shaka was coming.

MarquetteVol

Shaka had a 2021 commitment from David Joplin (4-star, #114 overall in Rivals) who happens to be from Brookfield, WI. I wouldn't be so sure on Dawson. I recall seeing Texas was one of his final schools when he picked Marquette.

This.

How many times this week was it remarked on Scoop about "the unbelievable social media silence of the players"?

Unpopular opinion, but would Garcia leaving be that huge of a blow? He's obviously very talented but so damn soft. New brand of basketball. Let's get some bigs that are dogs. I'll take Lewis over Dawson all day.

That's an unpopular opinion for a reason.

Pretty sure Dawson took a visit to Texas but not in his final 7

Then maybe cool with it the certainties.

To be fair, he did say "likely".

But yeah, this is obviously still a very clear toss up. I mean if Dawson was already out the door the fact he hasnt hit the portal yet is odd. Wojo been gone a week. Johnson been hired since Monday.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....
