Let's talk about the roster/recruits w/Shaka

There is absolutely no reason that guys on MU's current roster cannot be retained by Shaka, unless they are told to look elsewhere. Shaka's rep as an oustanding coach and recruiter should be appealing to all. Exception would be seniors that are due to graduate and want to move on. And hopefully, Shaka can bring one or two from Tx. with him.

I think he's from AZ but no biggie. Pretty sure he chose MU over Texas and Stanford so my guess is he stays.

They may have, but I usually miss those sorts of things. I'm still here trying to make fetch happen most of the time.

That said, just cool that it's Oso and we can nickname him "the bear" or signal a bear claw when he makes a big dunk. Oso=bear in Spanish for those not following my logic.

Hopefully Mitchell is still all-in. Ive been so impressed with how well he operates as a floor general in games and highlights Ive seen. And he can score on top of it. Perfect compliment to Carton and could move him off ball to the 2 when Mitchell is in

A Carton-Mitchell backcourt would be a great start. Hoping against hope for both, relatively happy with either, realistic but still a little disappointed if neither.

I'm sure there are a lot of the existing players that are interested in playing with Shaka... Think it's important to see how it all shakes out - guys that would stay may be unsatisfied with their roles after the roster setttles and look elsewhere

Lots of those too. But I think Carton in a better system and Stevie Mitchell as the backup (assuming we can hold onto him staying committed) will solve a a lot there.

I know that these kids commit to a coach more than a program, but MU is a much better program now than when these kids committed. And Wojo isn't coaching anywhere right now. Go get them Shaka!
