Identifying by color assumes similar experiences/statuses and is extremely tribalistic.

It doesn't, but you can argue for a post-ethnic society if you want.  It's a fair argument, but most BIPOC people do not support it.  So you would either be arguing for a post-ethnic society or a color-blind society.  You let me know what one...
