Hard Work in Practice This Week
« on: February 17, 2021, 10:22:01 AM »
I imagine the young guys are working hard in practice this week. They have pride and will likely come out of the gate with a lot of spirit tonight.

They will win tonight probably by a wide margin.

I see 2 maybe 3 more wins in the regular season. Butler, DePaul and Xavier, but wouldn't be surprised if they lost all of them either

Does So no attend practice or is it run by assistants?

Come on Herman, why do you even post stuff like this? Since Feb. 12 of last year Marquette is 6-16 in Big East Games. why do you think this team somehow found "pride" that they haven't had over the last year?

Marquette basketball just isn't good right now.

Glad you've had a miraculous return, Herm, but coming out of the gate well has not been our problem.
Playing forty minutes has been our problem.
Playing five months has been our problem.

I hope there are enough healthy bodies to practice hard.   Another game with four guys between 6'3 and 6'5 coming off the bench.   Perez being the first big off the bench.

Yep. "Having pride" and playing hard have not been problems for this group.

Making shots when we need them, being in the right spots on D, and taking care of the basketball ... big problems.

Well, I hope practicing hard doesn't make them too tired.

It's about time they worked hard in practice for once. And see the result?

I can only assume Herm has first hand knowledge of this because he was there to give them a motivational speech this week.

Maybe along the lines of bringing their season back from the dead.

Herman, thanks for keeping positive.
The downers will keep downing.
This team is competitive despite its shortcomings.
Now I hope they don't make me out to be a liar against UCONN.

I can't speak for others, but I have been saying all season that the team competes hard, works hard, plays hard, doesn't quit, etc.

There are a few who have suggested they have quit on Wojo or that they have slacked off, though all evidence suggests the opposite is true.

Some of us are just having a little fun at the expense of 9-9-9 (RIP), who seems to think it's big news that our team works hard in practice.
