Thanks, I'll check them out more.  I think the only song I know is the one from Guitar Hero.  Haha.

Seeing the Joshua Tree anniversary tour in 2017 is probably my favorite concert. It's an album I really liked* and also is really nostalgic because it was my senior year of HS. They started with a few of their classic songs, then played the entire Joshua Tree album in order, then played a bunch more of their classics. I took my oldest daughter the summer after she graduated HS and she loved it. It started a mini-tradition of taking my daughters to a concert the summer before they go to college -- just me and them -- their pick.

*Interestingly, that concert reminded me how different it was listening to songs in a specific order. That's something my kids really don't understand...how when you hear one song end your brain immediately moves shifts to the next song on the album. It also reminded how I used to listen to CDs just starting at the beginning and often didn't make it past the first 4 or 5 tracks. Although I had obviously heard them, I wasn't nearly as familiar with the later tracks to Joshua Tree which are now some of my favorites on that album.

Saw U2 on the original Joshua Tree tour at Rosemont.  Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever seen (Early Pink Floyd w/ Syd and early Deep Purple rank up there). Bare white stage. Bodeans were opening act.

There's a big difference in using effects to create your tone (Gilmour) and using it as your style (The Edge).

Every guitarist uses effect of some kind or another, some just rely on them more.

I get what you're saying.  Gilmour's guitar sounds pure, but very much the same from song to song.

Whereas you're saying The Edge changes his up more frequently?  Correct?

The edge relies on electronic effects more than Gilmour.

Not a fan of the Peas, but Mick & Fergie did a killer Gimme Shelter.

The edge relies on electronic effects more than Gilmour.

Not only with his pedals, but he has a full time effects man backstage doing his thing while Edge is playing + swapping out brands of guitars almost every song.

Don't imagine we'll ever hear him on a Rickenbacker, though.
