Thanks for the suggestions!  Torrey Pines might have to be its own trip...we'll see.

Rustic Canyon seems doable...not sure if I can get into the country clubs though.

He ain’t getting on LACC either without a member or a call from a decent club pro.

Tiger playing a hit and giggle this weekend.  Using a cart.

I am predicting Tiger will return to the Tour , he will modify his game to be more along the lines of shorter straight hitting and good short game types. I think he can be effective.

No chance.  He’s almost 46, riddled with injuries.  He can play token events and majors but any effectiveness he will have will be on the Champions Tour

He already said he’s only playing a few events here and there moving forward which probably means majors and things like Memorial.  He’s basically going to take the Hogan approach which is fine.  At this point, he’s done more than enough for the tour and the game

The shorter and flatter the course, the more likely he is to play.   Other than Augusta.

Yeah, I hope he picks his spots well. If I’m Tiger, you won’t see me at another US Open.

Tiger at St. Andrews for the 150th Open would be fairytale stuff.

A 46 year old with a bad back won't win the Open.  By the time the next major begins, there will 1 major winner that was older than Tiger.  And Phil didn't have the myriad injuries.  This talk of Tiger winning another needs to chill.  The '19 Masters was crazy, but he's made no other top 20s, missed cuts in half the Majors he's played and won 1 other tourney in 3 years.  And I'd be saying this if he didn't have the car accident.

It sounds to me like Tiger is not really planning on competing to win anymore anyways.  He doesn't need to; he has nothing to prove.

I don't disagree, he has nothing to prove.

Its just the refrain of everyone that somehow still thinks Tiger is invincible.  For whatever reason it can't just be "great to see Tiger healthy and back swinging a club".  Its the inevitable hypothetical path or scenario to him being really successful and snatching more majors which is just baffling to me.

It feels like people want to like golf, but can't separate that from their Tiger fandom of the last 25 years, so they need him back to justify caring or something.

In theory, I could see him doing well at St. Andrews.  But as soon as the weather turns cold and damp, everything is going to ache like hell.  And if it is warm and dry, the bombers will tear it up.

I definitely get what you're saying.  Part of me hopes he is invincible because I'm a huge Tiger fan.  But I'm just happy that he is healthy, swinging a club, and playing golf with his kid.  Anything more is gravy at this point!

Tiger and son Charlie looks good Saturday

I think when Tiger is fully recovered , he will be competitive in the limited schedule he plays.

My guess is he will be able to win again .

Taylor Made Stealth.  Carbon fiber face  $600.   What is your limit for how much you will spend on a new club?    And how much of a gain would you have to see to spend $600?

I would need a money-back guarantee of 10 strokes coming off my score!

Damn straight!

Or quit after 15.

Also damn straight!

Which, by the way, is not how I hit my shots.

Well, actually, I say "Damn!" after I hit them a lot.

It’s the Sim 1 with a flashy face and a paint job.
