Not like that. Three steps after catching the ball?  That was an obvious one.

Aiken's step back that he missed was at least 4 steps. But I agree that was the correct call

Daniel

2 big mistakes on offense with Lewis amdkoby

This. Refs letting Hall do whatever they want, but calling it super tight on MU when they need a big play.

Cmon.

Honestly this fan base is absurd with the refs. A couple bad calls here and there (they're human), but that was a pretty well reffed game.

Pathetic effort tonight. You can't show up for the last 5 minutes and expect to get a win. Didn't remotely deserve to win. Terrible defense and worse offense.

It was a travel but they haven't been calling that travel all game. Mamu takes 3 steps on every spin move.

SHU on some of the handoffs have taken those same 3 steps.

If you are going to call it late, call it all game.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thought Mamu traveled.  I had thought at least 3 times in the first half.

Refs weren't the problem tonight. Gifting SHU tons of extra possessions and wide open looks were.

Lewis offensive foul, followed by Carton losing his man at the 3 pt line and boom, all she wrote. Couldn't close. Resilient team but we didn't play well tonight.

Daniel

We fought hard.  Didn't shoot well enough.  Couple of big mistakes at the end. Next game.

You may be right, I'll need to watch it again at full speed. I don't debate that it was technically a travel when you slow it down, but I was so keyed on the shot I wasn't watching his feet in real time to see if it was the "there's holding on every play" variety.

Koby traveled. But I still hate that call on Lewis. Especially with how physical they let the game get (which is fine by me).

Agree. Kobe probably traveled. But the non calls on a couple of Hall travels too UGH!!

SHU also benefitted from three or four completely lucky plays...the block by Garcia and they get a layup, two MU players trying to grab a rebound and a SHU player punches the ball in the air that goes in and the traditional 3 pt play with a phantom call on Kobe.  MU deserved to lose but SHU got VERY fortunate.

Seton Hall, seven more points from the foul line.

Uh.  No probably about it. He took three steps.

The play where Theo lost it, the ball got saved by a SH player, and then Theo somehow got it back and flipped it to a wide open Jamal for three was also pretty lucky.  There's usually a few plays like that per team, per game.

If he hadn't lowered and led with his shoulder it's a no call. Freshman mistake.

Agree with Both of You,  Hall got away with some travels but in deference to Wojo and some here and else where that were texting me Kobe that did not travel. Threw the probably in there but agree "Kobe traveled".  But it is only a travel if it gets called and The Hall had a few that did not get called. But that said I thought the Refs were solid and decent. Continue to say Marquette is back, not Old Big East back but very close. Go Marquette Beat Xavier!

You are correct.

The refs decided this game. It makes you wonder.

Exactly. Pretty easy call on Lewis.

On the Koby travel, I think the refs allow the step to catch the ball but Koby took an extra one to shoot it. Wojo wasn't pleased nor was he postgame when asked but it was clearly a travel to me.

On the Seton Hall time out rolling on the floor...if the player had possession to call time out, he had possession to travel. Not a good call.

On the Koby foul, I saw the floor replay and thought it was a phantom call. My other text mates thought he hit the arm. Just goes to show that it was up to interpretation and you have to go with the ref who is right there in 3D.

I thought the ref grade overall was a A-. Consistent, let them play, not overlegislative. And I don't like Breeding.

Viper

MU is like a blind date. You probably aren't getting Cindy Crawford, but probably not Rosie O'Donnell either. You'll be able to get through the evening...the night won't be a disaster, but a 2nd date?...maybe...and it might be good. Then again, it could go all wrong.

On top of this, the play before both of these when we were down 1 point then as muhoops1 typed,
SHU also benefitted from three or four completely lucky plays...the block by Garcia and they get a layup, ..................................

I stepped away from the game for a few minutes and came back and was surprised we were only down by 1.  Then I saw the block and Seton Hall layup and thought it's just not our night?!?
