Over/under 154 and 1/2.

Sandwiched between a nice win over an archrival and a trip to LA to play a storied opponent, this seems like the poster child for a trap game. It'll be interesting to see how this squad responds.

The Sultan

I'd like to see some good runs from both Akanno and Perez in this game.

wadesworld

I don't think UWGB is good enough to take advantage of a trap.  MU by 20+.

The Sultan

UWGB is terrible.  MU could play bad, but they aren't losing this game.  Small and inexperienced on the inside so expect Garcia, Theo and Justin to have pretty big games.

Agreed,  would like to see Akanno start to get the rust off.  It's seems like for Perez it will simply be a reward for working hard though.  He seems to be out of the rotation.

Get Oso, Perez and Dexter as much run as possible.

I would take the under, though.  I can't see UWGB scoring much more than 60.

Hope so -talking spread, not outcome (God forbid).

Would almost like to see us start the Big 6 (Cain, DJ, Koby, Dawson, Theo, Justin), build a 20 point lead quickly and then play as much of the rest of the game as humanly possible with the bench.

This is the game where you do that -- even give the walk-ons significant time. It's a chance to get your team to build chemistry and better learn the system.

Agree.  If we could start (and play) 6 that would be a significant advantage.  Should win most games 6 on 5.

The Sultan

I mean, they also want to work on things that they may want to use for UCLA.  It's not that these guys need rest or anything.  I really doubt the walk-ons will see much, if any time until the very, very end.

You want to reward the bench guys with minutes when you can.

But, we need to remember that of our top 6, 3 of them are young inexperienced guys who need minutes on the floor. Garcia and Lewis need minutes. DJ has played 24 games in his college career and is coming off of a long layoff. I would rather see minutes for those three than guys who are not going to be in the rotation come BE play.

Wojo does not get the walk-ins in as much as coaches before him. I think some of that might be NET implication. I think this year we see more of the main rotation in blowouts due to the lack of buy games. Especially with all the new guys.

?
Perez, Oso, and the walk-ons are not getting significant run tonight.

UCLA and CU are right around the corner.
I see GE and DA getting a little more run
because they will be counted on this year, Oso? No.

tower912

Why run up minutes for other freshmen if MU is up 25-30?   I love Dawson and Lewis, but I am thinking about February, the freshman wall, and two frosh playing 25+ mpg.   Playing Oso saves wear on those two and helps get him ready in case of injuries, fouls, or fatigue.

Getting the end of the bench/walk-ons minutes is pretty low on my list of priorities tonight.  It would go

1.)Win
2.)No injuries
3.)Cover
4.)CU win
5.)SH/StJ/Gtown win
6.)Get Oso or the walk-ons an extended run

IMO, Wojo's mentality is as if it's January. He's going into his game as he did UW, and as he will UCLA. He is not going to play Oso other than a few minutes for the sake of experience. If anyone is getting more run tonight it will be Greg and Dex because they are a part of the plan this year.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Really all I am looking for in this game is for MU to avoid a hangover after beating Bucky.

I'm good with 1,2,4,5,6. That'd be great. Number 1 matters most by one or more points. I don't really care about 3.

Did the total really open at 154.5? If it did, I don't think it was there long.

I'll probably play first half under 68.5 or UWGB team total under 61.5. Of the two, I think I like the latter.

This looks like a 100-55 game.

I have to disagree here. This is a young and new team that hasn't played much together. I want the role players (Greg, Dexter, etc.) to get as much run as possible with the guys that regularly get more minutes.
