Sinner is absolutely bludgeoning dudes.  I still think Alcaraz" best is probably better, but Sinner is significantly more consistent.  He's also vastly improved his vertical speed.  His court coverage at about 6'4 is pretty ridiculous.

You may be right. Alcaraz could have his hands full with the Djoker.  They mentioned on the broadcast that Sinner's string tension is significantly higher than the rest of the players.  Somewhere in the 62 lb range.  It amazes me that Borg played at 80 lbs with gut strings while McEnroe was closer to the players of today at around 55.  The tighter strings means you're forced to generate more power but ostensibly have more control.  It makes you wonder how hard Sinner could thwack the ball at a lower tension?

Very solid 3rd set but Sabalenka was just too good.

Anisimova hit a 89 mph backhand in this first set.  That's insane.  And her average backhand speed is 74 mph which is higher than both Alcaraz and Sinner.  Now, obviously she doesn't have the spin of those guys, but that's still pretty damn impressive.

Carlos made just about every big shot he needed to make, and he served quite well, but he maybe only had his B-game overall.

Once Djokovic lost the 2nd-set tiebreaker, he kind of lost his will. I'm not sure I've seen him so dejected when he also wasn't injured. He just knew he had no chance to win, and he succumbed rather meekly. Kinda sad to see.

Apparently he wants to play the full gs calendar in 2026.  This really surprises me.  He basically admitted that in 3 out of 5 he doesn't have much of a chance against Carlos or Jannik.
