Can MU get out of the Fiserv Forum lease for this year and play at the AL?  My thoughts are that it would be a huge savings to offset huge revenue losses, but based on how the Bucks handled the DNC cancellations, they'll play hardball.  Curious if anyone has been privy to any such discussion.

Yup, I had some optimism until I saw the DNC news. I'm sure they could, but it's not going to be cheap or easy.

Worried about the same. Expecting to see an interview with Broeker coming in the next few days, hopefully we'll get some answers then.

From a Milwaukee Business journal article on the lease in 2017:

"Marquette's lease at the BMO Harris Bradley Center includes $29,000 per-game rent, $285,000 per-season in suite rentals and a $1.50 to $2 per-ticket facility fee. Marquette retains some sponsorship rights in the venue and receives a payment from the Bradley Center of $19,000 per game for rights to suite season tickets."

Double that number for the per-game rent now.

I wonder what happens with that facility fee if no tickets are sold. Those were passed onto season ticket holders when we went to Fiserv.

Also, what about Marquette's ability to make money? Can't imagine much in terms of sponsorship rights if there is no one in the stands to see the sponsor's ads. I wonder how viable simply pushing that contract back a year is.

They might be able to get more sponsorship money for additional signage around the court or tarps over the seats.  European soccer teams have been doing that.
