A few people get concerned when they have big leads and win by not as much. I do not. I did not see the first game, but in this one, you could see how they were playing the Elam ending with a double-digit lead. The point is to score, not necessarily to defend, so it makes some sense to make the high risk - high reward play. A long three might miss and give the other team an easy rebound, but if it goes in, you get three points. Kicking the ball out on a break might lead to a better shot, but racing down and hitting it fast might end the game. They also missed their first two shots in Elam time, though they were pretty good ones. The winning basket was a put-back of what I thought was a hurried shot. So the other team briefly cut it to five, which does not seem like much, but it is when the leading team only has to score four to win it.  And as you observe, the other team had to throw up some desperation shots that went in.  Scores can be deceiving when the only point is to win as fast as possible.

I repeat, DJO should not get a cut of the winnings if GE Alums win TBT.  Guy decides he wants to go play for Boogie Cousins's team, sees the GE Alum go to the finals last year, and jumps right back to GE Alums.  Had he stayed with GE Alum, they're looking at defending their title right now.

Maybe DJO gets himself an NBA look? He has been dynamite.

It's worked for Buycks and Jamil.

He’s been getting a lot of love on the telecasts.

Have to say Sand Knit called it on Fischer.  Defense was terrible.  No athleticism.  Was not a factor.  My son was amazed at how easily he was beaten off the dribble and couldn’t finish around the rim.

Jamil got one of the worst breaks I can remember for Marquette guy in awhile. He was on pace to get a proper deal with the Clippers when that bogus sexual misconduct claim came up. I’m pretty confident he’d still be an NBA player if that hadn’t happened.

Buycks is unfortunately on the wrong side of 30 but man he’s become such a complete guard. He was a beast in China. I hope he grabs a spot in Spain or Turkey.

DJO is hard to say given the size issue is so pronounced. But he looks GREAT

Was Jamil's lawsuit proven to be bogus? I don't remember a follow up

Just saw Jerel is getting married today. That may be why he’s not on the team this year. Based on his friendship with Acker, I’d have to assume he’d be on the team if not for that.

Right under the basket maybe.  Anything requiring lateral movement was not good.  He was on ice skates.

I liked Luke at MU but the defense deficiencies are more glaring against more athletic Pros and former pros.  Hoping it gets better but Chapman will not play him going forward if he doesn’t rectify it.

Luke has had a couple nice run outs that affected three-point shooters.

Almost reminiscent of McIlvaine in '94 causing havoc for the Kentucky shooters.

All he did yesterday was get a couple rebounds and throw the ball away.

To be fair, you had multiple posts defending your original ridiculous post. Only when your hypocrisy was pointed out did you suggest that your OP was “mostly a joke”. Translation: Busted.

Our stars DJO, Buycks and Jamil are delivering . The role players on the team are all playing well. Very enjoyable to watch these guys playing team ball.

It would be awesome if Joe Chapman could earn a coaching job somewhere .

Does he want one? Wonder what kind of coin he makes with his program? I have no idea.
