Looks like a great replacement for Sacar, in terms of length & ability to drive

Kind of what I was thinking, too.

If he sits one and plays two, we could do a lot worse than get the kind of years Sacar gave us as a junior and senior.

Sacar did his 3-year "apprenticeship" at Marquette, whereas Jose will have done the first 2 at GW and then 1 at MU.

I love how hyped Sy is for anything positive MU. Never afraid to show it.

Looks like a great replacement for Sacar, in terms of length & ability to drive:

It would be really nice to pick up a shooter.  Even if BB comes back, this team will struggle to spread the floor and score.

Perez has a way smoother and more natural stroke than Anim, along with ability to drive and create well like you said.   Looks like he could end up being better overall than Anim when all is said and done. I'm very pleased we got him. What's perplexing is why his shooting from distance dropped so dramatically after a nice freshman season.

Looks like a decent player any team needs to have in their regular rotation.  Probably lots of solid games with an occasional highlight performance.

Having height in the backcourt creates options.

At some point in time Wojo needs to put all these good options together as a team that finishes above .500 in conference.

Pretty sure Wades has an alert set any time "Wojo" is posted here.  I may test it out tonight and post something at 2:30am, just to see how long it takes Wades to wake up from his slumber to champion the greatness of Steve Where's Your House Key.

WTH is your definition of "a season ago" for crying out loud?!  The season that has concluded, last season, a season ago, etc., we were 8-10 in conference!  So I guess Badgerhater had a point, didn't he, and your counter to prop up Wojo rings hollow as always.

Oh, very good!

Three seasons out of 6 a losing conference record, and 6 games under.500 for his Big East career. LOL, right?

None of which is what I was responding to. But carry on. You seem a little triggered.

Yes, like that season where MU collapsed and pissed away a conference title with an All American on the team.

8-10 in conference with an All American...I forgot to add

Look, this is NOT supposed to delve into a Wojo debate again, but all I will say on it is.. to me, MU is a program that should NEVER have seasons below .500 in conference other than a very rare occasion or because a season was decimated by injury.

Okay so adding on qualifiers after the fact. Got it. Yes, if you discount the seasons in which MU finished over .500 then you need to see Wojo find a way to finish over .500 in conference for once. I agree.
