Unbelievable.  We just gave it to Markus and didn't run offense for the last 4 minutes.  Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Yep.  No game plan.  Leadership is completely absent.

Anim, Bailey, McEwen, John, Elliott, really everyone except Jayce (rebounding) and Markus (scoring) is a complete non-factor.

Too much Markus, but NOBODY else tries to step up  Sacar was non existent. Can't anybody drive to the basket ???

Markus press conference the other game:

"I'm so thankful for my teammates to allow me to do what I do. My teammates have sacrificed a lot so that I can do what I do."

I'm not joking...this was an actual quote from him.

Going 1-3 to end year was a good bet.  They likely will not win another game in the Howard era.

It's tough to be an MU fan right now.

And last Saturday, and the Saturday before, and last March, and on and on. Let's face it, this team is not good. I'm not sure Wojo can do the job. He looks like a deer in the headlights. I can't believe I'm going to spend what I'm going to spend to go to the BET. But if they play on Wednesday, they're on their own, I've got dinner reservations.

BM, I was kidding.   Don't worry about it man.  I've come to appreciate your posting.

I've been saying that for weeks.

Sacar drove several times and missed on the end.  How is anybody else going to step up?  Once the ball got in Markus' hands the last 4 minutes it didn't come out.

They were standing around covered. It was sit and watch Markus, which is Wojo's favorite  offense to run.

Markus had 3 assists early and another 3-4 would be assists that were bricked. He was distributing, nobody but Sacar moved around the last 5 min of the game. Horrific play due to anemic offensive design and tentative reactions due to lack of coaching or support

Except Bailey missed the game winner—not Markus.

Howard's career ending in a pretty rough fashion.

And that's a damn shame. It's too bad Wojo hasn't been able to get enough out of the supporting cast. Whether that's his fault or the fault of those players is up for debate, but this team's issues playing to their potential have cratered Markus' POY chances.

We were down 4 when BB missed that shot.

Down 2. It was for the win.

Wojo is the most amazing man to get us to peak mediocrity.  I'm done.  I'm officially on the fire Wojo bandwagon.  Enough.  Can't wait to hear the same garbage press conference.  Don't bother watching.  Here is what he will say:

"Hats off to DePaul.  Wins in the Big East are tough.  Especially road wins.  We need to play harder.  Markus is an All American and the ball just didn't bounce our way tonight.  We need to regroup to face a good St. John's team."

It will be that vanilla plus more vanilla.  This is the last straw for me I am done with Wojo.  While everyone else's team are getting better we look like the same team as November except for Jayce.
Those could have been guests at her wedding.

Is Wojo trying to pad Markus' stats a little to make a push for POY? That's the only reason I can see that TO call. What else can you gain there?

I'd gladly help wojo move outta town

Good idea. The boy should be an assistant coach max and go back to Duke.

CTWarrior

Bailey's shot was for the lead, we couldn't get the ball to Markus on that possession because DePaul was denying him well, though we tried.  It should not have come to that.  We had a nice lead and coughed it up by not running offense and fouling.

Here is something:

In the last six minutes of the game, MU did not make a basket, not one until Markus prayer at buzzer.  Not one basket.

With the score tied at 65, MU called a timeout.  That play resulted in Markus dribbling around and around, bad pass, back to Markus with nothing on shot clock, and got blocked.

With Depaul up two and 20 seconds left, Wojo did not call a timeout (WHY?) and Bailey missed jumper at free throw line.

So, bad play out of timeout and then no timeout.

Depaul 31-35 at the line, ballgame.

Never said anything bad about Wojo, but the last two season collapses are very worrisome and not a good look.  This is my opinion, worst loss of year and one of Wojo's worst.  Without Reed, this should have been a win and ten gain some sort of momentum.  Down the toilet now.

The Sultan

Yep. Was wrong about the Bailey shot.

More foul language from the Projos.  I thought they were a picture of rational and stable??

Regardless - great response.  Totally realistic.
