Yet another game thread one half in and everyone jumping to conclusions. Purdue anyone? For Koby to barely play and Markus just turning it on within the last few minutes, the CU lead is not nearly as bad as it could be. Another half. Let's see what happens.

Don't be so harsh, this must be the first basketball game they have watched.

CountryRoads

We've been down big here in the past and came back. Hoping they can make a run.

After being hyper-critical about Ed and Theo early on did the guy who guys by #UnleashJayce really change his user namer mid-game?

Is there a Scoop Historian who can verify the uniqueness of this bold move?

Did he do it because Jayce is bad?

Because we are prioritizing defending the three, clearly. We do need some help D though, but Creighton does a great job of spacing us out.

Typical sky is falling response....first conference game in a very tough environment against a good team. It's not going to be easy folks.

Shocked at Lappas's comment that Markus played about as bad as he could. I didn't see that at all. When he wasn't scoring because they were all over him defensively, he was getting guys wide open looks and didn't force anything. When he started forcing it a bit offensively, he scored a bunch in a row.

This..... Markus isn't forcing it and we have gotten multiple open looks because of it... but we will need him to ball out in the second half to win

If Creighton stays hot and we don't defend better we're not going to pull this one out, but long way to go. Soft turnovers have to stop. Creighton definitely dictating things; our bigs are worthless in this game so far since they can't make Creighton pay for their small lineup.

Could tell fun story about him at NCAA tournament hosted by MU....but then would be accused of name dropping so I shall pass

This is why I wish every single year Wojo would get a competent offensive big. I want a guy you can dump it down to and it's almost always a guaranteed bucket. Doesn't seem like he prioritizes it for whatever reason.

Average. Humm.

Yes, with `Nova,  Butler, Xavier, Seton Hall ahead of Creighton.  Next DePaul, St. John's, Creighton. Then MU, Providence, Georgetown. If we are fortunate we move into the second group.

Why is SJ's ahead of us? They will turn us over and over again. We are too slow and have no second or third option. This is the team Wojo built.

Get out to a 5-0 run or so to start this half and let's see what happens. Also think Koby getting two quick fouls kind of messed up the defense the rest of the half..we'll see.

I've been happy with Bailey's recent play.

Because jayce was awful, I can't be critical of two other bad bigs? That makes sense.?

Say that after the game. You're proving my point, currently.

Maybe just stay off game threads if you don't like people talking about games until they're over.

Looking at the HT box score. I'm really surprised how close we are.
Creighton is shooting out of this world. Maybe if we can get them to come back down to earth.

Our offense seems to target corner 3s. With the new line, is it shorter in the corners like the NBA?

Koby *fart noises*

He just hit the top of the backboard, right? That's not something you see every day.

McEwen hits the top of the backboard from the corner and then trots back on D. That was awesome.

I'm not sure Koby should be on the floor. I'd rather have Elliott's energy or there.
