Can someone please explain to me why McEwen is getting so much run?

Who else would you like running the point?  Serious question?

Is this Howard's worst game of his career?

warriors141

in order to be great, howard needs to perform better against the big teams in big games. hasn't happened often enough in his career

Yes, when no less than 5 of illustrious posters here said he should be benched.  LOL

I mean I'll be honest, I was right there with them after that game.

Really happy though he never hung his head and has had a nice 4 game stretch.

Dakich sounds likes Dan McNeil on meth.

Isn't that just Dan McNeil?

Howard seems to be struggling leg wise. Coming up short on everything.

Maybe DOMS from two superhuman efforts in the previous games. (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)

Lol. I'm not being sarcastic or anything. Im literally laughing out loud at some of these excuses.

Refs, DOMS, "Marquette" on the jersey struck the fear of God into Maryland's players.

There is a much much simpler explanation.

I'm shocked he's back. He took quite a shot to the head. Hope he is ok.

Me too.  Looked like whiplash auto accident on that hit to the head.  Glad he is back.

Which is why we should trust what the coaches see in practice every day

Face cut up and bruised. Comes back to make an impact. True Warrior.

They did really well. Sacar played well also. If Markus had even hit a few shots it'd be a game.

In fairness, he had really struggled before today. This is his career best game by a mile, so not exactly evidence of who he'll be game in and game out. He's probably going to start showing up more prominently in the scouting report now too. We can't expect this from him regularly, but it is nice to see what he's capable of when he's hot. And hopefully this gives him the confidence to build off of moving forward.

We also have people calling for Koby to be benched right now, despite him carrying us to the Purdue win too. It's the same situation, just reversed. Judging guys based on the best or worst games isn't really the way to go.

NickelDimer

Tons of improvement. Really important game regardless of outcome

He's not athletic, but big...more importantly he has desire to be in there to bang.  That's the key.  He's going to look "putrid" in some cases, but the guy has heart.  Makes you wonder how someone who watched him play so much on the Pac 12 Network at Utah so badly misjudged him....unless he's an idiot and knows nothing about effort and desire.

I'm afraid this will be an L but a lot a good things are coming out of it.

BB- confidence
Jayce- the best big, by far
Sacar- can get a bucket whenever he wants
Zone- works

Elonsmusk

Would like to see Cain in for Elliott in this zone - longer, better rebounder, ability to affect more shots.

The games by Sacar and Bailey are HUGE for the team, and this game will have value going forward.

Bad_Reporter

Nice heart shown by the team, just not enough.

I don't mean them as excuses. We sucked for large stretches of the game. As I also said, Maryland had a great game plan for Markus, and executed it well. That's on us and that's why we lost.

And the DOMS was referencing him even struggling at the line. He has no legs.

skianth16

It's so weird how Markus can be so hot and cold. I wonder how many guys go from scoring 40-50 to then drop down and only hit 1 or 2 FGs right after?

JakeBarnes

Markus has no legs. It's fatigue or something else, but has no legs. Bummer as we could have used him at the end of the game.

Impressed with who has stepped up though. BB could be a great floor spacer.
