Before a meltdown occurs, remember Md. is #5, has a great point guard in Cowan, lottery pick in Jalen Smith and a projected first rounder in Wiggins.

Markus way off, too many turnovers and 21 points terrible.

Theo put up three shots, all blocked.
Morrow terrible.
But real problem has been Koby.  Major regression last three games.

Love how the officials called an obvious lane violation when the Maryland player was in the lane way before Elliott shot the ball. Then they "changed their mind" and reversed the call when Maryland complained.

Don't think I've ever seen a violation that was called, changed because of a coaches complaint before.

Maryland clearly capable of playing at a level we haven't seen yet this year. Let's see if we can play better in the second half.

Down 21 at half. Pretty much over. Sit McEwen and play Torrence in the 2nd half, see what he can do.

Howard is 1-6. He has 2 points and 3 fouls.

McEwen 0-5 and John 0-3. Bench is 0-3.

Maryland is not a good 3 point shooting team and they are 6 for 12 so far - 50%.

While score reflects a blowout, Maryland is playing their best game all season. In shutting down Markus, Bailey - not McEwen - is revealing himself to be the #2. A strong case is being made for Jayce to start over Theo with his recent play. Ed, sadly, has strongly regressed to the point where he cannot even pivot correctly anymore.

McEwen, with this Orlando showing, should start coming off bench for a while until he can get any groove back. Give a look to Jamal or Greg maybe.

Major tip of the cap to Maryland's D. Their gameplan against Markus should be blue print against him moving forward.

I had to mute the TV. Worst announcers ever. I lost count of how many times he has said that Maryland will be number one on Monday when we are still in the first half. He started saying it when it was tied at 9.

Especially when he's basing it on Michigan beating Louisville on TUESDAY.
