After seeing our putrid performance against our hated rival in the black unis I am not sure I can ever look at them positively. I did like them prior to the start of the game though.

Yeah, the black unis are cursed as far as I am concerned.

So we'll be 4 for 4 on alternates to start the year? Are we turning into Oregon? If so, bring on the neon yellows!

This is one of the cool perks of being connected to a top brand like Jordan. Seeing the shoes and jerseys created just for our program is awesome. I hear a lot of other college hoops fans say they think Marquette has had some of the best jerseys in recent history, and I'd have to agree.

Does anyone know if someone from our athletic department is involved with this at all? Or is it all coming from Jordan and their designers?

Where are the missing arrowheads down the sides for piping?

I like the stripes on the sides of the jerseys vs. the solid white all the way down on these uniforms.  Was the baby blue solid all the way down on the black, or was that stripes as well?

The black ones were striped.  I think those looked really cool, as an occasional alternate.  I would not like to see them too often though.  But they're not "cursed", LOL.  Curses are for chumps.

Agreed.  I would also like to see how the navy blues would look with baby blue stripes instead of yellow stripes.  I like the baby blue as the complimentary color to the darker uniforms.

The black ones were striped.

I was at a alumni association "viewing party" for the game.  In the second half, I noticed the stripe and commented that I was a little embarrassed that we were that far into the game and I had just noticed the side panel/stripe.  I had been focused on the black.  The guy sitting next to me said that he hadn't noticed.  I guess we weren't the most observant.

Pardon my naivete, but how does this work?  (I haven't paid attention to the discussion about uniforms much).  I assume there is a contract between MU and the apparel company, but is it a monetary allotment used to purchase the uniforms, or does Jordan brand directly supply the unis/shoes?

And then is there some sort of formula on selling MU branded gear?  Jordan gets a percentage?

Look cool, hopefully they play well in them.  I liked the Black Uni's, it seemed to be the shoes that were a bit off (aka Skates)

Go Marquette!!

Is there something uniquely "Native American" about these uniforms that I'm missing, or it is mostly just a happy coincidence that we already wear baby blues several times per season and Native Americans like the color?

Maybe they are supposed to be turquoise?
Winning is overrated. The only time it is really important is in surgery and war.

It's turquoise, many teams do these. Marquette did them a few years back with a different design. They also passed out turquoise MU shirts to the fans. Still have mine.

Thank you, what could be more easily identified as Native American.  Nice tribute to Bo's design and the 1977 team, as well.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
