A ton of guys within 4 shots at the halfway mark.   Should be a fun weekend.

Rory making a run trying to make the cut.

Great leaderboard for the weekend . Will be fun to watch the guys battle it out.

Shootout.  Go low or get left behind.

Koepka realizing he can't bomb and gouge this course. Getting adverse putts, can't hit them.

Let's go Lowry, and maybe a Rickie run tomorrow in the conditions.

Kind of like Ryder Cup with fans backing Shane Lowry .

Lowry just clowned everyone that round.

That's about as close to a perfect round I've ever seen.

Would be a tremendous feel good story.    But if Koepka could have putted, he could have shot 63 today.    If he figures it out for tomorrow, it will be wildly entertaining.

Speaking of entertaining, the weather forecast is so bad for Sunday they are moving up tee times.

Koepka visibly frustrated by Holmes slow pace today

tower912

He is one of the worst slow play offenders.

Brooks going to follow through with his tough talk about slow play? Doubt it.

What is he going to do, deck him?    If they are both really far out of it, I can picture a Rory Sabbatini, Ben Crane moment.

Right now, it looks like Koepka is affecting JB.

Lowry hanging in there. Leading by 5 through 11. Some tough holes ahead though .  Enjoy seeing the elements come into play.

Of course not. But he likes to talk that he can handle them, take bathroom breaks, play even slower.

I think he's a lot of talk.

I take it back! He's doing it! Stared at official and tapped non-existent watch!

Srixon/Cleveland has enjoyed the last few days.   Graeme McDowell, JB, and of course, the big Irish bear Shane.   Not the usual equipment company logo that we see every week.

Big win for Lowry and the Irish fans. Tremendous for golf.

Solid pool victory, second major in a row. 3 of 5 this year.

They should take Holmes card away for that garbage

The ball doesn't care what you look like, whether you have an idiosyncratic swing, which side of a border you are from.  Good for Shane.

Lowry was awesome. Well deserved win, nobody was gonna take that from him.

What would you have shot at Portrush today?   Could you have broken 100 in the widn and rain?

I couldn't have broken 100 over 9 holes

Not a chance but I'd love to try it sometime.

One other player shot 80 and JB shot a 87 along with his slow play.  That's John Daly slapping it around stuff
