Sixth place finish in the Big East.   I'm headed for Arby's, anyone need anything?

Extra sacks for people here who need them.

Big Foot, Lochness Monster and the Pressure applied to Sam Hauser at Georgetown will be featured tonight in Search Of, hosted by Leonard Nimoy.

We'll see if Wojo brings anyone else in before the start of the season. But we need this team to be hungry, playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Good, this team sucks when the expectations are high

Unfortunately, this team has been gutted by the loss of two top 50 starters.

Reading through the comments on how Marquette is better without the Hausers is laughable. Fact is, we are diminished in terms of talent, capablility, and potential.

All of the self-proclaimed experts here are delusional to suggest that we are actually better today than we were a month ago.

The Hausers didn't leave because of touches; they left because of Wojo.

Falling from a Top 5 ranking to out of the poll completely demonstrates the impact of Sam and Joey hitting the bricks. Frankly, the poll is the best evidence yet of just how devastating is their loss.

gutted?  lol.  i think you need a better grasp on the english language.

i don't think many, if any, are suggesting we are better off without the hausers.  maybe 1 poster has.  i think many are suggesting we should still be just as good, or even better, than we were last season.  theres a big difference in the two statements.

the hausers left because of wojo...but the hausers wouldve been back, with wojo, had markus left.  the math doesnt add up here.

preseason rankings...ever important.

bilsu

We are a better team with happy Hausers.
We are also a better team without unhappy Hausers.
Unhappy people generally blame others for their unhappiness. Usually it is their fault they are unhappy.

Have some patience, FFS.

You are missing some pieces to the story. They left because of Wojo. And their reason for leaving was applauded by their teammates.

There was a major mutiny within that locker room. Without Stan at least 3 major contributors were also out the door. And it had nothing to do with Markus.

Creighton getting a lot of love for a team that missed the tournament and loses their best player. They have one player over 6'7" on their team next year and he's always injured.

McDermott is most definitely not an excellent coach.

Is that based on a static look or season average?  Because if you look at their PPG/TRPG/3P% lines the last 7 games, there's clearly a drop-off.

Sam
Season - 14.9 / 7.2 / .402
Last 7 -  13.7 / 8.3 / .388

Joey
Season - 9.7 / 5.3 / .425
Last 7 -  8.4 / 5.0 / .318

Either way, at best Sam may be borderline top 50 candidate next year, but Joey still has a way to go to earn that distinction.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

This makes no sense to me. Stan isn't the head of the program. Wojo is. Wojo brought in all the assistant coaches (including Stan). Wojo sets the direction and the tone. Is Stan saying something that Wojo wouldn't? I doubt it. Why would Stan even stay at MU if the issues with Wojo and the players are that severe?

Yup.  This is key and breaks the logic chain for some that want to 90% to 100% put it on the coach.  To them, he is the all hated and responsible for this, but they would have stayed had Markus gone and apparently "tolerated" his coaching.  Quite humorous

Lol.  Well, if anybody didn't already know Keefer has no idea what he's talking about, there is no doubt about it now.

A different version.

In direct contradiction to Keefer saying the Hausers were applauded by the rest of the team.  Nobody else has announced a transfer...tough to decide if Keefer or the 247 poster is correct...
