Would Howard be seen as the villain for pushing the hausers out? Maybe he wants to get out now too? It’s an uncomfortable situation for sure.

Markus might as well leave.   Next season is meaningless now.

I mentioned weeks ago Howard & the Hausers were having a rift. Right after Howard took the last shoot Vs Seton Hall.. After being 1-15.

might as well drop the second nuke and axe wojo at this point ,   program needs a complete and total reboot once again,  we are not going to pick up any recruits worth a dime for the forseeable future after a hit like this.

I'm doing OK, thanks for asking! I see that it's the end of the world for some on here, though.

I’m just waiting for all the Wojo apologists.  He has been nothing short of a disaster.  ESPN has us ranked #2 next year.  Hauser Brothers are that miserable enough to not care?  Something is not right.

enough of the well wishing for these kids though, imo that is complete traitor level stuff.

If they had the guts to play at a higher level even with a ball hog like markus they would stay. Both of them have a wish and a prayer of having any kind of meaningful pro career at this point.

I still blame wojo for this but don't let the door hit ya on your way out hausers.

I'm not really coming to be a "Wojo apologist," but can you appreciate the irony in having the two highlighted sentences right next to each other?  I happen to agree that losing the Hauser brothers is a disaster.  At this point, I also happen to think that it's Wojo's fault.  But to say he's been "nothing short of a disaster" and also mention up until two hours ago the program was in a strong enough place that outside observers thought we would be one of the best teams in the country seems a little off.

I think you need to read MU82's thread in the Superbar, posted a couple days ago. You are melting down. Over college basketball.

Point well made.  Can’t deny that.  I guess I’m judging him by tourney wins and so far he has a goose egg.

Let's be brutally honest. Both Joey and Sam have a much better chance at pro ball then Howard. And 30% of delusional scoop thought Howard was going early.

I don't know how you get commitment from any recruits at this point, right or wrong, this is going to be perceived as a lame duck year should Wojo survive the week.

Have to imagine Markus anticipated the squad was returning based on his recent decision to return, no?

Something tells me either the hausers were staying or Howard was. Not all 3.

I'd be careful putting any major blame on Howard. Tough to change your game if you aren't coached hard.

This is 100% on the head coach and major, major questions need to be asked of him.

I was going to post on FB about how awful of a day it was for MU basketball, and then saw the Cathedral burning.  Put it in perspective for me.

Me too. Marquette basketball is 1000x more important than some old cathedral!

Loved the Hausers in their time here, but either will be lucky to get a cup of coffee at the next level. Unable to defend any position in the NBA and not able to create their own shot on offense.

Good teams attack Kyle Korver instantly and he has way more foot speed than either Hauser.

Everyone assuming this move is so the Hausers can be first options and have a better shot at the NBA seem to be missing the underlying reasons they’re leaving
