"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

Let's face it: Michigan plays a brand of ball that the Marquette Faithful would love. Balanced scoring with a great post game and shooters. And the hallmark of Michigan is their smothering defense.

They sound a lot like some of the old Marquette teams!

Good post. You summed up why I was such a big O'Neill fan. A walking assist machine (WHO NEVER TURNED IT OVER) named Tony Miller, distributing to Logtermann, Eford from the outside balancing with the inside scoring of Key and lesser extent McIlvaine. An identity based on a smothering perimeter D which funneled drivers to a shot swatting Mac. Led the country in a stat the metric geniuses here dis all the time: FG% Defense.
Zenyatta has a lot....a lot... of ground to make up. She gets there from here she'd be a super horse......what's this.....Zenyatta hooked to the grandstand side....Zenyatta flying on the outside....this....is...un-belieeeeeevable!...looked impossible at the top of the stretch...
