Is it mathematically possible to only play double digit seeds to the championship? If so, it would happen to them.

When they made the FF didn't they play multiple double digit seeds or was that a different year?

If you're thinking of 2000, they beat #1 Arizona (riddled with injuries) and #4 LSU and #6 Purdue.

In 2013 they beat a 7, 6 and 1

In 2014 they beat 8, 4 and 2. Like us in 2003, they played the highest possible seed.

except it really doesn't.

Lots of fun watching the games knowing we will be the only top 5 seed to get completely blown out of the water in the first game. :) just humiliating

Colgate getting smoked early on, has comeback to take it's of the game.

Too bad Colgate couldn't pull it off.
Would have been their brush with greatness.

Is it mathematically possible to only play double digit seeds to the championship? If so, it would happen to them.

When they made the FF didn't they play multiple double digit seeds or was that a different year?

You're remembering the start to Bo Ryan's career. In his first year, he beat 9th seeded St. John's. After that, he only beat double-digit seeds from 2003 through 2008:

2003: Beat 12 Weber State, beat 13 Tulsa, Lost to 1 Kentucky
2004: Beat 11 Richmond, Lost to 3 Pittsburgh
2005: Beat 11 Northern Iowa, beat 14 Bucknell, beat 10 NC State, Lost to 1 North Carolina (Elite 8 & beat no single-digit seeds)
2006: Lost to 8 Arizona
2007: Beat 15 Texas A&M Corpus Christie, Lost to 7 UNLV
2008: Beat 14 Cal State Fullerton, beat 11 Kansas State, Lost to 10 Davidson

So in 6 NCAA trips, they went 9-1 against double-digit seeds & 0-5 against single-digit seeds. Two Sweet 16s and an Elite 8 without ever beating a single-digit seed. That changed when they beat Florida State in 2009 (12 over 5) & Bo had much greater success against good teams later in his career, but for a long time, single-digits were Bucky kryptonite.

Buffalo is my new adopted team (although I am afraid to jinx them). The MU-BUF game was one of my favorites of the year, not just from a B&G perspective. They are fun to watch.

Bucky down 12 with 4:14 to play

Getting close to starting Happ’s European career

I thought Buffalo was the best team we beat this season. I enjoyed the game and agree with you.

Same. Buffalo, before yesterday, was the best passing team I saw all year.

Bye Bye Wiskey.  Bye Bye Happ, great college player, but had enough of him.  5 for 28 from three won't get it done.

Oregon has athletes who slash very effectively.  Could have been much better with Bol Bol.

#5 Bucky loses by 18
#5 MU loses by 19
#4 Kansas State loses to #13 Cal-Irvine.  They are coached by Bruce Weber, who is from Milwaukee.

This is starting to look like the “x-cub jinx” (the team with the most x-Cubs loses)

Seeing Oregon about 10+ times, had Bill Walton in my head. Kenny Wooten, through it down! One time. Quack. Quack. Conference of Champions.  ;D

And Louisville was routed by Minnesota. Outside of Buffalo (who I think was playing their 3rd road game in 6 days and ran out of gas down the stretch) those signature wins from December don't look so great.

We beat one good team this year and that was Buffalo. The other wins were nice in paper, but not signature wins.
