Gotta give it to Sacar even with Markus having 38, he ended that big Nova run with some huge buckets. They probably don't win without those shots. And this coming from a Sacar hater

38 points and some want to debate.    Damn, we're spoiled.

I think debate is warranted. Sacar had a terrific game, especially the second half. Played almost flawless on both sides of the ball. 38 points is just half the equation. Not saying I'm 100% for Sacar, but it's no slam dunk for Markus based on his point total.

1. Markus (not a point guard) Howard. Anyone who scores nearly 60% of a team's points should usually be SOTG by acclamation.
2. Sacar
3. Shout-out to Theo. Made 'em think underneath. Had his usual phantom foul, and another ticky-tacky call outside the arc - tough one to call given Cremo's virtually perpetual hand checking.

Johnny B

We are spoiled with markus. The prior ten years before markus showed up if someone scored 38 it was an automatic sotg.

AZWarrior

Sacar made the difficult, character-revealing, momentum-changing, clutch shots.

Markus' 38 points were easy shots.

So Sacar.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Markus was the stud.

Sacar played awesome too.  We need more of those types of games from him!!!

WarriorHal

Marcus was MVP overall, but not SOTG for his near catastrophic turnover in crunch time.

Sacar was the SOTG for stepping up big-time when his production was needed the most.

Honorable Mention to Morrow for his help defense on the final play, which ultimately won the game.

MU86NC

Sacar!  He was the difference maker today...

BM1090

I can't believe a lot of you are voting for Sacar over Markus.  Markus had an efficient 38. 13-24!

I love Sacar and he was great but come on.

Honorable mention to the worst SG in the big east

Forgot to say, "by far."

Hell of a game for our most unappreciated but very valuable player.

Markus gets SOTG, though.

Should be no debate.  Markus.

It's definitely Howard. What's odd about his TOs is that his dribble has improved dramatically but it's like he's over confident with his handle and gets stripped WAY too often...it's like he's daring guys to strip him and they just go ahead and do it.

Its DJOver

Sacar played great, but it's gotta be Markus.

couldn't have done it without either markus or sacar

gotta go with sacar on scoring, defense and fewer turnovers...and spreading the love ;D

Markus had 38 points against the defending champs.

Nobody has been more bullish on Sacar than I have. Nobody.

But really, it's not even close.

It really is close little buddy!  Sacar is averaging 8 points a game and came up with 18... way higher% made / played way better D than Marcus / Better Handle / Marcus almost cost us the game with a very lame turnover...  Sacar!

Has to be Sacar.  SOTGs do not commit that turnover.

LOL

38 points. Period.

Markus only gets the easy 38.

Here is a fact. Only studs get put in that situation and sometimes commit the TO. sacar, while a good player would never get that call.

In a game where option 2 and 3 were ice cold. We are just so used to Markus being in video game mode we don't even notice

Objectively, Howard.

But, we've come to expect that he will be amazing, so if the question is who surpassed expectations the most, it was Anim. He had a hellova game and he was a delight to watch.

But yea, Howard was clearly the better player today.
