1 Howard
2 Sacar
3 Booth. Why did he not take that open layup?

Has to be Sacar.  SOTGs do not commit that turnover.

Honestly, I think Booth was thinking too much instead of just playing. Pondering the clock, maybe giving us too much time, whatever. Our last possession was a brain fart by Markus losing his focus while dribbling; their last possession was a brain fart by Booth skipping an open layup. Weird crap can happen in crunch time.

Sacar was great but anyone not voting for MH is nuts.

Ed was right there waiting for him...think Booth was affected by that

Exactly.  Wojo said as much on the post-game with Homer.

Markus. But that Sacar's best ever game in  a Warrior uniform.

Really a great game by Sacar.  Tip of the cap to the young man.
Markus wins tho.  Singled handedly kept us in the game n lead for stretches.
The TOs are mind melting but in aggragate carried the team.

I'm going Sacar.  He is really turning it up.  Hope this doesn't mean that I am expecting the extraordinary from Markus.

It probably did affect him, but at that point his best bet was still to put up the shot and hope to draw contact if Ed went for the block. The kind of play you expect from a Senior leader. Glad he hesitated and kicked it out though....

Think Ed made a great slide over when Booth made a  second effort to get the layup and Ed had him way under and behind the basket making a shot tough.  Great work by Ed and Sacar there.

I agree. Booth needs to try to either score or draw a foul there.

Man, hard not to vote for Sacar. Without that effort, we lose pretty easily.

But Markus will get it, and deservedly so.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I give the edge to Sacar. He stepped up when it was getting tight. Howard was good as usual but when the game was on the line he had a sloppy turnover and then on the final play when Sacar was screened on Booth, Howard moved to contain him but then moved back to Gillespie leaving a wide open driving lane to the basket which fortunately Morrow helped on. Had Booth pulled up for a jump stop versus trying to get to the hoop the outcome would have been different. Sacar then stepped over to guard the final shot and pressured the shooter to throw up a prayer.

I was at the game, so I watch the telecast this am. I think that was by design to not give a wide open 3 to Gillespie. I couldn’t believe that Markus did that when I saw it. But, I really think that it was just a hedge to give Sacar time to get back into position......but Markus left too early and Sacar had not yet recovered, allowing Booth to get to the left block with ease.

They really, really focused on keeping the Hausers out of the game. They were fine letting Markus go off offensively.

Sam’s defense on Paschall was outstanding. Paschall made some ridiculous shots.

I agree.  I believe that the last shot was designed to go to Paschall in the corner and both Booth and Samuels tried to get him the ball, but Sam denied the pass both times.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Toss up between this and the 15 point comeback he lead versus Creighton in Omaha last February.

I want to be clear here, everyone that said Sacar is 100% correct that he was the stud of the Villanova game...

...if you completely ignore that Markus Howard also played in the game.

I think steam shot out of my ears when he did that.
