My favorite tennis player ever.

One of the most fun-to-watch athletes on the planet.

He's a real awkward dude but one of the coolest athletic things I have witnessed was watching him practice up close. You don't realize the power and precision on TV nearly as much. There's no way his knees should still be holding up with how he plays his game. One of the greatest ever.

Totally agree. Never really even had an interest in tennis until I accidentally saw an early round match of his first French Open tourney win. Jumped off the screen, absolutely demolished whoever it was. Followed him the rest of that tournament, quite a thrill ride. Been a fan ever since, one of my all-time favorite athletes.

Couldn't care less about the gossip article though...

I'm with you on all of that, including your last sentence.

He's the most athletic tennis player ever. It's exhausting just watching him!

Yeah, but I'll bet he's got a pretty good looking financial portfolio and "it's a small world when ya got unbelievable ta-tas roy "

I am going to disagree with you there...

See Gael Monfils ... not even close

And Monfils might be the best dancer in professional sports history, as these dance moves show during a French Open rain delay.

He really just needs to accept the fact that he's losing his hair and quit trying the combover.

He's gonna have Hulk Hogan's hair line soon enough.

Gael monfils was the jamil Wilson of tennis. Unbelievable athleticism but some very basic things that go wrong consistently

Spot on!

But Monfils also suffers from impossible standards.  He has consistently been ranked in the top 20 in the world (until age got to him recently) and everyone said "what's wrong."

All right ... I'll amend that ... Rafa is the most athletic tennis player who has ever done anything notable with his career.

I've been lucky enough to meet him a few times and always great with fans. Definitely my favorite player. I'm a little shocked he's had this long of a career. Although, he's had his fair share of injuries.

He has a nice body, but the majority of the time you're clothed and don't get to see it. I'll take an ok body and gorgeous face over a butter face. lol! I wouldn't say he's a butter face, just not very good looking face.

As someone who watches the 4 major tennis tournaments but isn't an expert by any means, I have to ask...is Rafa that much more athletic than Novak?

I know he IS more athletic. But I have always been blown away by Novak as well.
