Next game is the only game.

Sean McDermott questionable w sprained knee from last game v. Creighton.

(Just noticed you also posted this in BE thread MuMark)

ChitownSpaceForRent

Put it in the other thread. Knowing our luck at Hinkle, I fully expect McDermott to sit the entire game, come off the bench with 30 seconds left, and drain a game winning three.

God that place is a house of horrors, if Marquette wins there this year put me on the Final Four bandwagon.

Exactly. Biggest game of the season.

Don't turn the ball over and win the boards and we'll leave Hinkle with our first win there in the NBE.

High temperature that day is -12. Safe travels for everyone involved.

Hinkle is a house of horrors.    Try not to get hurt.   If MU steals a win, bonus.

Extremely worried about this game. Despite us being the more talented team, I will always pencil in Hinkle as a loss, until proven otherwise.

House money. 7-1 is incredible and I would have taken 7-2 halfway through the conference season every time. If we win, amazing. Considering our performance to date I won't lose much sleep losing on the road to a team playing their most important remaining game this season.

brewcity77

This is the second road loss I penciled in. We're the only Big East team that hasn't won at Hinkle since the reformation. Love to leave that club of one and be proven wrong.

Butler will most likely be the favorite in this game.

MU has nothing to lose Wednesday night. If MU loses, zero big deal. They'll be a one or two seed in the BE tournament. If they fall, they still have two games with Nova. After returning from Indianapolis Wednesday night, MU will go three weeks before making another plane ride. That is fantastic to not have additional wear and tear to go through this time of year.

They're 18-3, cashed another check this afternoon, more money in the bank. This is a great ride that isn't ending soon, I'm enjoying every minute of it. Save any angst for the third week of March.

Lets get a W on Wednesday.

Warrior1969

Needed to win one of the two road games. Got that done already. If they lose who cares. Come home hungry and get on another roll with big home games vs SJU and Nova. We are going to lose more games this year. With a seven game win streak this is a reasonable spot for a lose.

Need to win.  We need to get through the BEAST regular season with only 2 more losses, and @Nova is likely one of the two.  losing to a "bottom half" team like Butler - even away - is not good.

Finish the BEAST regular season in first place, who cares what happens in the conference tournament, and we're still at least a 3 seed in the big dance, maybe the bottom 2 seed because that will be the excuse to send us west (like they always do).

Butler is a top half the big east quality team regardless of where they finish (and I think it will be top half)

Literally every team that isn't MU or Nova is a "bottom half" team right now.

Pretty remarkable that 8 out of 10 teams are sub-.500 in conference. Not sure I have ever seen that before.

Butler will give us their very best in the House of Horrors.

We've got this.  :)

BCHoopster

Butler is not as good as they have been in the past, if McDermott is not playing that is huge.  Sacar can guard Baldwin and get some help if he blows by him.  Without
Martin And Weidemann they are now just an average team.  Lots of decent players but not anyone that will go off in my estimation.  MU just played there best game of
the year and X played there best game of the year, by far.  MU has to many weapons, should beat Butler.  Thompson at times is so limited on the O end, they play 4 on
5.  Can put Markus on him, and all he has to do is stay in front of him.  Not a tough assignment.  Just do not get off to a bad start.

ChitownSpaceForRent

Doesn't matter how talented Butler is or isn't. It's still Hinkle.

Good thing we have the House of Hausers.  And the House of Howard.
Have some patience, FFS.

If you look at the Sagarin numbers Butler will be favored to 1 to 1.5 points.  Admittedly not considering any Butler injuries.

This and Nova are our toughest road games remaining.

Edit:  re-looked at numbers.
