Ranking Wojo's Incoming Transfers
« on: January 21, 2019, 03:44:07 PM »
During the Wojo era, he has attracted nine transfers into the program.  For the purposes of these rankings, I am counting Luke as a Buzz transfer even though he never played for him.  These rankings are based on the impact they had at MU.

1. Andrew Rowsey - pretty obvious choice given his scoring ability and the impact he had over two years
2. Matt Carlino - leading scorer on a poor team
3. Katin Rheinhardt - key cog in Wojo's only tournament team
4. Ed Morrow - obviously a lot TBD, and he could move up the list, but I thought he would have greater impact
5. Joseph Chartouny - very much a role player
6. Wally Ellenson - had a couple of decent appearances but obviously was here to lure Henry so in that respect he was good
7. Harry Froling - so much hype but a waste of a scholarship
8. Gabe Levin - but at least Harry suited up for a game

NR. Koby McEwen - interesting to see where he falls when all is said and done

Seems reasonable...transfers part of the game now. The fact we have 'em shows Wojo is aware of the process and not behind on it.

What did strike me is how long Wojo has been our coach...he's not a new guy anymore.

Takes 5 years to judge a new coach

Seems reasonable fluffy.  My guess is that this may end up being a regular thing for most programs.  I'm certainly not trying to suggest anything but I wonder what Wojo might be in the market for this off season?  I'd personally guess a Big, especially if Ike's back prevents him from contributing.

Pretty sure Ike fulfills that criterion
