I think the most memorable one for me from my time at Marquette was Junior Cadougan's buzzer-beater to tie UConn.

I think that was the same season as  Vander's shot against Davidson, but that wasn't the same because I was watching on TV instead of in the arena.

We were there saveOD. Awesome!

Might be first time you and agree on something. That dunk/game was great moment in program history.

JWags85

In terms of memories, Wardle at Freedom Hall to beat Louisville is up there. I remember thinking they were toast not long before that

What about Junior Cardigan vs UConn?
Improbable shot from a mediocre at best shooter.
I'm like a turtle, sometimes I get run over by a semi.

Actually, I think we agree on an awful lot - as long as the subject is basketball and Warrior history.

Life and politics? We are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

The TV interview with Junior after was hilarious. I still laugh when I think about it.

Doc

Luke's trumps Doc's to beat ND. I am slipping for not pointing that one out.

Lennys Tap

Butch to Whitehead - it really wasn't a shot, but it put us in the NCAA championship game.

Of course I was at MECCA that day. Great day and night was had by all.
The Doc shot was a great one. Was at Mecca also. But Whiteheads was the most memorable.

I'd put DJO's shot against Syracuse in the 2011 NCAA tournament on the list too, although some of the others would be higher up.

Diener's against Louisville in 2003 would have been it for me... if not for Reece effing Gaines!

Nearly killed my roommates as we mobbed each other when Diener's shot went in, we litterlaly had to look up from the floor of the BC to have Reece effing Gaines rip out our hearts.

Hutchins against Louisville.  Wardle against Louisville.  I put both audio clips here about a week ago with Homer's calls.

I'd include those in the poll along with the rest of the additions.

"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

Can you choose a favorite child?
A favorite birdie?    Or Eagle?
A favorite sunset over the lake?
A favorite Notre Dame football loss?
A favorite beatdown of Wisconsin?

Suffice to say, Sam's was great.

The UNCC bucket by Jerome was a fortunate accident.
This video shows it clearly.  The UNCC game starts about the 13:31 mark.
The pass was supposed to go to Bo Ellis but it was too high.
Went through Maxwell's hands into Jerome.
Jerome went to stuff it but Maxwell blocked it.
Fortunately it hit the backboard and went in.

You had to live it to appreciate it. I'm sure the difference of opinions will be based on ones experience.

The Whitehead basket was 8.5 years before I was born but I'd have to put it number one.  It led to a National Championship.

I'll go with Vander.

1. Because I was there &
2. The series of events that led to that opportunity was insane
