My grandson got a road trip to Charlotte for x-mas. Huge Kemba and Hornet's fan.

I winder if 82 or anyone else has any suggestions for a good hotel near the arena.

Hornets vs. Hornet's. Wonder vs. winder. Etc...

Since the trip was a Christmas gift, Nads probably won't acknowledge this post.

Hyatt Place downtown. They have an excellent breakfast as part of the deal and rooms are decent sized.

Hyatt House on Trade. Newer all-suite place, decent breakfast included and connected to the arena, though you've gotta walk outside to get in.

Stayed there a couple years ago. Cody Zeller's 7-series was the car in front of me when I was leaving my rental w/ valet.

He doesn't believe that a virgin chick popped a supernatural being out her private bits, a being that is both a god and also his own son at once and also a spirit for good measure, for the sole purpose of having the son part of the threesome brutally murdered because will somehow save mankind?  How can he not?
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Yeah, I simply will not accept facts and common sense!

Hi brand. That's not an easy question to answer because I don't know how you or your grandson would define "good." I mean, there's both a Ritz Carlton and a Hampton Inn within a very easy walk of the arena. The RC obviously is very good -- and very expensive, but the Hampton also is a perfectly fine hotel, and even throws in a free hot breakfast for probably 25% the price.

My wife and I stayed at the Residence Inn near the Panthers stadium last year (so we didn't have to drive home after a Thursday night game), and it was very nice, parking was cheap, and we got a decent breakfast the next morning. It's only a few blocks from the arena.

But really, pretty much every name-brand hotel has a location in "uptown" (which is what Charlotteans call downtown), and I would think the competition alone would require all of them to be "good" as far as comfort and customer service goes.

If you want to ask any other questions, feel free to PM me.

Happy New Year.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

My daughter said she'll check out the Hyatt and Hampton Inn.
