Patients at Children's Hospital get in holiday spirit alongside Marquette men's basketball team

https://fox6now.com/2018/12/12/patients-at-childrens-hospital-get-in-holiday-spirit-alongside-marquette-mens-basketball-team/

Patients at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and their families got to have a little bit of winter fun Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 12.
The hospital hosted its eighth annual "Winter Carnival."

Theo wearing a chain of lights is pretty great.

That might have been the shortest news article I've ever read. Somehow it was both 5 sentences and 5 paragraphs long.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Is this publicity just to get the fanbase to accept that the kids get to fly on private jets to get smoked up in road games?

I also thought the Chicago Cubs were the only sports team that did community service.

In reality, this is great.

Pretty sure his first two lines should have been in teal and his last line is the only one he meant.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Says the guy claiming the Cubs are taking the "difficult road" by paying (yet another) known wife beater. But hey, they're doing it out of the goodness of their heart to get the guy the help he needs. Just ask Theo and look at how much work the Cubs do in the community.

The Marquette Basketball Instagram story had some nice videos of the day. Seemed very cool.

Never claimed any of that - comprehension is not your strong suit.

He absolutely meant the Cubs stuff.

Regardless, great to see the team doing this and brightening the day of kids who are going through something they should never have to deal with.

CTWarrior

Always great to see the team doing things like this.  Reflects well on everybody.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

skianth16

A) Good on them for being good members of the community

B) In the story on Instagram, Greg was still wearing that blue brace. Isn't there usually a transition from a hard brace to a soft brace before the medical clearance? If there is, I'm guessing we won't see him before conference play.

Man, your ability to hold a grudge against the internet is downright impressive. I wish I had half your memory recall.

As long as there are no clouds in the sky. Otherwise, they postpone and wait for the next sunny day.

It's a joke, VBMG
