Man, I saw Simon at Summerfest about a decade ago and I thought he was pretty cranky and frail then. Have to admit I am surprised that he is still out there.

I love Paul Simon.   Have always thought, while Graceland is a masterpiece and deserving of all praise, his next album The Rhythm of the Saints is absolutely fantastic and a bit unfairly overshadowed by the magnitude of its predecessor.

That being said, he's 5'2 and even in his youth was probably 110 lbs soaking wet so appearing frail, especially as he ages, isn't too difficult of of a task.  Everyone Ive talked to that has seen him on the high side of 70 has said he sounded very good (within reason, not comparing to him in S&G), so credit to him for that.  The list of artists who continue touring into old age that sound pretty terrible is quite long.

To be fair, I saw him twice at Summerfest. The one in 2017 is what I am referencing about. I think the other was back in 2006, and he was fantastic. Full of energy. Of course he was twenty years younger.

The only problem was his encore was some new song no one had heard while he left "Late in the Evening" just sitting there.

I saw Paul Simon at the Concert in The Park, Central Park, New York.  It was a fantastic show.  I love re-listening to the concert.  A very fun show.

a lot of mention of Noah Kahan earlier in this thread. Has anyone seen him on this tour? My niece saw him in Cincy the other night and apparently was bawling her eyes out throughout the show. To me, his stuff doesn't seem like it would translate to stadiums but what do I know?

For those of you in MKE or MSP (or Detroit, Tower), Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem) is doing a solo tour for his new album. Wish he were closer to me. His solo stuff is very different from his TGA stuff, and it's awesome, IMO. The three tracks he's released from his new album are excellent.

Just bought tickets to see the Old 97s in a few weeks. They've been great forever, and they always put on a hoppin' show.
