This team is playing OK in a tough environment. Every time they get within shouting distance Howard decides he wants to be a hero. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Same as last year, minus Rowsey to pick him up.

Shot horribly, only down 13, and Indiana has somewhat serious foul issues. It could actually be much worse.  Of course it might become much worse, but it isn't yet

How disappointing. IU without 3 guys, this was supposed to be our year, but we look awful. Honestly how much longer is this rebuild going to take. Becoming a Marquette fan has become increasingly painful

You are painful.

Hey, Howard, you wanna knock it off with the hero ball? Thanks.

Down to 8, then Markus with two terrible shots.

8 to 13 point lead.

Miss layup by Sam at buzzer, two points.
Miss frontend one/one Markus two points.
That’s four easy points.

Get them in foul trouble and stop that Fishner guy...

we still cannot defend either. missing Rowsey-would give us a better shot at outscoring them

We played an awful half, but 13 points is far from impossible.

We got this.

To be honest we're in better shape than we should be given how bad we played.  Wish Hauser's 3 or layup had gone in there, but this should be a lot worse.

Don’t worry guys - Wojo just needs a nice tall grad transfer PG and some more experienced players. Breakthrough coming any year now.

Mucho disappointing. Running the whole offense (despite a height advantage) out past the top of the key, throwing up prayers, and giving up layup after layup. What's the points in paint differential? Those free throws that don't matta could have helped so far.

Worst half from Markus likely ever.

You are painful.

Not sure what I said was so painful to you? Pretty much a fact that many thought this would be our year to really step up. Sorry that the first half didn't disappoint you any.

First time Markus has looked out of whack in terms of both shooting and turnovers. He seemed out of it in the first half. 13 PT deficit can definitely be turned around in the last 20 mins!

Woof. That was a rough half. Feels like we should be down more than 13.  Some ugly shots and turnovers from Howard. Let's see if they can settle down in the second half.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Markus just chucking them up tonight, sheesh.  Thank god for Sam and Joey.  47 halftime pts, ouch.  Where's this new defense of ours??  13 pts...doable.  Big ten looking superior tonight eh?

Determining the rest of our season based on a half means you're a troll, idiot, or both. Which is it?

Didn't know everyone has to be cheerleaders. Nothing went right in the first half, yet only down 13. However, stating that disappoints me. Even though we are on the road, we are an experienced team that is deep playing a young, short-handed team.
