The folks that were beyond terrible were the Marquette Gameday hosts on ESPN/WKTI last night. The host had not a clue, was repeating himself over and over and over again and sounded like his pre-game preparation occurred while Mommy was changing his diapers.

Dead air would have been preferable to the pre-game show between 7 and 730.

Thought the same thing. I thank him though as it forced me to go to hotel lobby to watch game on TV versus radio.

I like Anderson and Berto on FS1.  No way I'm listening to Homer instead of those two.

You should have heard Mike Shannon when he first joined the St. Louis Cardinals broadcast team. He was way beyond awful. One had to wonder whether Shannon could breathe and broadcast at anything close to the same time.

He certainly has not become Jack Buck in the years since, but Shannon is servicable and has become a beloved figure in St. Louis. It took time but in time, he learned to understand what he could and could not do as a broadcaster and his observations on the game aren't bad.

I'm sure the same will be the case with Tony.
This describes Ron Santo as well. And, frankly, George Thompson. Even Mac had some awkward moments...remember when Buzz scolded him for no apparent reason on a postgame? This was back in the days when he was talking about how many days he’d been coach every single time he opened his mouth.

Smith will be fine!

Bardo does great work on FS1 & BTN.
