I did not mean to have "a tone." Re-reading what I wrote, I definitely sounded like I had one, so a million pardons.

Goose and I are cool (I hope). I am legitimately interested in why he "can't blame" Nico for choosing Arizona over MU.

I sure wouldn't have blamed him for choosing MU over Zona. We're gonna be a better team, one of his buddies is on our team, etc.

He is is a Phoenix kid staying in state. UA sells out every game. Great college atmosphere. I understand  what Goose is saying. Not to mention you will never need snow boots in Tucson

Agreed. I don't think Nico was paid. I'm just saying that a recruiting benefit that Arizona has over Marquette is that they pay recruits well, and I'm quite confident that they pay/paid better than MU does/did.

I would argue if you're a recruit looking to be paid you would want one program that you know is going to pay you and the rest of your finalists to be squeaky clean.  Unless you just want to throw a couple middle fingers up to the NCAA and say, "Yup, we all know I'm going to the highest bidder, try and stop it."

Glow is right, intimating that he chose Arizona because they paid him makes us look awful.  You can argue semantics all your want that you didn't actually say he got paid, but the only reason to bring up the issue is to imply it.

I do think that Arizona pays its players better because...well, it's been factually proven to be the case.
