Value Add moves us closer to Top 10 if I got that right.

I believe value add already assigned a value of 1.30 to each empty scholarship, in anticipation of what might be added to the roster. So 2 x 1.30 = 2.60; but a traditional transfer or empty scholarship goes 0 at the start of the season.

That means most of JC's value is already baked into the last value add score.

Of all the options out there, JC might just be the best fit for what our team was lacking. I'm not sure that he's one of our top 5 players next season, but his skillset will guarantee him a lot of playing time.

THIS is exactly the type of player MU needs to turn the corner, he's spectacular on defense which is what everyone else is bad at. There needs to be more balance with offense and defense and this is a huge step in the right direction.

The steals are going to be a great asset. I just briefly perused his game log and the steals didn't just get racked up against the bad teams, he was very consistently 2-5 steals the whole year. A guy with that kind of energy on the outside will be a nice asset alongside Markus and should improve the defense a lot. Hopefully not as many unchecked blow-bys. Also, teams will obviously target Markus on the blow-by now but Chartouney will have a great opportunity to thieve those suckers.

That should leave our greatly improved frontcourt to bang and dominate down low without having to crazily run all over the court as much to cover up the weaknesses.

I love this addition. Really think Chartouny is exactly what we need. On offense, he can dish & drive, which plays perfectly with our roster in that he can create for our shooters & take advantage of the space they create.

Defensively, he brings the size our backcourt lacks & his knack for creating turnovers gives us some legitimate defensive disruption.

I'm incredibly excited about Chartouny and feel of all the grad transfers on the market, he's the best fit for our needs.

I thought his value add was greater than that average, though, which bumped us (especially his defense). Of course, there will be other winners too.
