Cards aren't smart enough to cheat and not get away with it.

No they're just smart enough to have 12 World Championships.

Show some respect. It was 2.

Oh it was 2 to 3 wasn't it. Honestly my bad. My brain did 2 to 1

They had 13 hits the entire series...at least their runs scored (2) outnumbered their errors committed (1) this time around.

At some point they'll have to beat a team not in last place....or not.

Brewtal...

Another fun stat from the series....

Cubs starting pitching:  27IP, 0.00 ERA

The offensive futility by the Brewers had to come close to setting some records.

This is the Brewers' time of year!

Also...14 wins against teams with a combined winning % of .301 and a 5-12 record against teams over .500. It's a long season. It'll even out.

To be fair, part of the reason those teams' records are bad is because the Brewers have performed well against them. If the Brewers split with the Cubs, then that stat looks wildly different. It's too early in the year to draw any conclusions based on those type of stats.

Granted, many of those teams were projected to be pretty bad to start the year, so your general point still holds. May is quite a bit tougher for the Crew, so we should learn a lot about them this month.

Schmidtyfactor

I fear the Crew can beat anyone any given day except the Damn Cubs and Cards. They seem to forget how to tie their shoes when they go up against these two. Gotta go at least 50/50 with these guys to have a chance to come out on top at the end.

You don't, right?

Against teams that aren't the Brewers, those awful teams' combined winning percentage improves to .333. They're not exactly world-beaters.

End of the day, the Brewers are doing what they need to do against awful teams. However, that doesn't necessarily mean the Brewers are a good team.

Before getting too high and mighty here, the Cubs have won what, 1 series not against the Brewers?

True, but I'm not the one on these boards boasting about my team in May. I'm simply pointing out that the Brewers have beat up on a some of the worst teams in MLB.
